Is this okay to buy? Need help, must buy today or tomorrow!

Please note that the first one has a twinning wisp as a grade-setting inclusion, so you should ask JA to have their gemologist assess whether there is any dulling effect on the brilliance. Read this thread for some discussion about twinning wisps (TL;DR: @Wink loves them, @Garry H (Cut Nut) hates them).

Was on this thread few minutes now, thank you!!

If you can't tell the difference in size, I like the BN stone a little better, if I'm being honest. Of course, I also understand wanting to get everything from the same vendor. :)

Yeah, definitely wanted to stay within the same vendor, so much easier and cost efficient.

Exactly what drk said... I wouldn't go lower than H in ovals for this very reason.

So, I was hitting quote instead of reply. smh...

Anyhow, we will change since we really do not see much of a difference in the size for a better looking diamond. You guys were very helpful! Will post pictures when it comes! Thank you soooo much!!

I would put your three favorite JA stones on hold, and ask for ASET imaging and a gemologist's review.

Ask if you are able to purchase the setting at the sale price before committing to one of the center diamond. If not, you could possibly pay for one of the ovals, provided they can give you written assurance that they will not set the diamond until after you have received the gemologist's comparison of all three contenders, and that you will be able to return the oval and swap it for one of the other ones depending on the results of the gemological inspection.

Would a pre-loved pear in a pink halo be of interest? It says fully sizable from a 5.5 to a 9 is a big jump. Doable, but there will be some cost. You could email the maker (DiamondsbyLauren) and ask about her estimate on the size change).

Thank you for your help, although I love pinks, we really do not care for the pear and I personally love sapphires! Thats why we went with the previous setting from JA, it is such a steal!

Nothing wrong with you... it is a negligible difference. And yes, IGI is very loose when compared to GIA or AGS, making them less accurate in grading.
The stone was graded by IGI Antwerp.

As a FYI 'cause it seems many have missed John Pollard's sundry posts over the course of the past 5 years or so: John -- formerly with Whiteflash and now the U.S. Executive for High Performance Diamonds ( i.e., he wasn't hired by StonesThatLookLikeFrozenSpit&WereGradedByEGL-Israel.com) -- has seen-sees a helluva lot more loose diamonds & reports than any of us consumers, and he does not consider IGI's major labs outside the US to be second or third tier ones whose reports warrant blanket skepticism. A couple of his past comments that include specific reference to IGI Antwerp:

But because IGI-graded stones trade for less, generally speaking, were you to try to sell the center stone or trade it in -- other than doing an upgrade via James Allen's upgrade policy -- you'd be probably be offered less by someone in the trade than if the stone had a GIA or AGS report.

Is the gemologist on site? How long would this process typically take?
I am going to call right now with this information. Thank you!!

Is the gemologist on site?

They have gemologists on site, but the diamonds are not on site, so they have to call them in. I forget how long it takes, but I doubt the gemologist's evaluation can be completed by the end of July 31. If you're requesting ASETs, that will probably add some additional time as well.

Thank you! I will follow up on those threads. No, I am not looking to trade or sell it! It'll be my forever ring.

Okay, we just called and it was recommended that I click on the diamond inspection link and someone from the gemologist site will speak with us and compare the three. She said they will also be able send the ASETs to my email as well. What should we** look for when they come in?

**Still learning, lol

If you'll upload the ASETs here, we can show you what they mean and what to look for... :)

I just went with the three that was recommended to me. I also put a hold on all three just like I was told too.

This is the diamond with ASET (my fav), the other two does not have it:

I'll post the images soon.

Out of curiosity, what is it about this stone that makes it your favorite? To my eye (from the video), it seems the third link's oval is livelier... (3008564)
Also, is JA going to get ASETs for the other two stones?

IDK, I automatically assumed that it had to be better since the other two does not come with ASETs. I liked the third link too. I could be wrong since I have no idea what I'm doing.

Nooooo... not true at all. LOL They may just have that one in-house. :)

FWIW, I wouldn't consider the I color oval... it will be too tinted.

ok, so the third link is better and livelier, is it okay that it has no ASETs? If so, we could order the ring today and not have to wait 24 looonnnnnnnnng hours for the ASETs of the other one

:shifty::shifty::whistle:

If you want to ensure you secure the sale price for the setting, have a JA rep add that to your order that is currently holding the stones. They'll honor the sale price once you receive the ASETs and make your final decision.

I would most definitely wait for the ASETs, but have the JA rep place it in your cart so that you'll get the sale price as mentioned above.

...I would also have the JA rep send you documentation showing that you will indeed receive the diamond you choose at the sale price -- just in case something is lost in translation. :)

I was able to save all three diamonds and the settings to the order. I will ask for the documentation right as well. Thanks a bunch!!

Sounds good! Post ASETs once you get them. :)

This is the only image I received and the only one that had ASET imaging. The other one did not.

Okay... that ASET doesn't look good. Just post the other one when you receive it from JA -- hopefully, it will be better! :)
