Is this diamond a good example of blue nuance?

Hi everyone,

I keep reading about blue nuance in lab diamonds. I have this 1.1 carat lab that I got a while back as a travel e-ring, and I'm wondering if this stone would be considered good example of blue nuance? I believe it scored HCA 1,1, VS1, E in color, and is within the parameters of an excellent stone or whatever on that graph thing (I used the angles recommended by this forum when I searched). Anyway, I'm really curious what pricescope thinks, thanks!

Beautiful diamond - looks amazing with your setting!
Does your diamond's grading report have a notation on it that states "blue nuance" or "faint blue" in the comments section?

I don't see any blue nuance but to be honest, it's mostly identified in high mag images as opposed to real life. I'd think it'd have to be a very strong nuance to be obvious to the eye. Beautiful stone!

Hmm. Thank you for the replies and compliments! Turns out I don't know as much about this as I thought, heh. I did take a small vid at the gas station (not the best backdrop but oh well) because it felt like I could see lots of blue.

I will dig up the grading report and see if they mention any blue! It's so interesting to me that people worry about blue nuance if it isn't visual to the naked eye? I thought the concern was that the stone would look sort of blueish when wearing on a regular basis?

I think the amount of saturation will dictate how visible it is and, even then, it will depend on the lighting conditions.

Here are some great pictures from previous threads for J color blue nuance diamonds where the tint is noticable to varying degrees.

I think it looks pretty cool, but I think I'm outside of the majority.

Wow, thanks for the reply. Yes, I see it now. I agree I don't think my stone has blue nuance anymore. I think I'm just not used to an E color stone (others of mine are more in the G-H) region. Thank you again for the reply!

It might well have a touch of nuance but when it's very pronounced, the stone looks almost grey which isn't that nice but your stone looks like an E should :D

Thank you all so much for the reassurance! I picked the stone off of rarecarat after plugging in the recommended angles/specs for a MRB from pricescope. Glad to know that others think it's pretty as well, as sometimes I feel like I don't know what I'm dong when I'm trying to judge the cut of a stone.
