Hello, I'm looking for a cushion cut also but don't know where to start.

Did you buy the stone loose or from a jeweler?

I know it's loose. What we are saying is: without seeing the diamond in GOOD clear LARGE MAGNIFIED PICS, or in a GOOD CLEAR VIDEO and without an ASET image there is a limited amount we can tell you over the web. If you are shopping in person you have to educate yourself about what a good performing cushion looks like. What to look for and what to avoid.

You can buy an ASET scope to help you.

And you can look at videos of other cushions both good and bad to help you as well.

For pricing you need to enter in the specs (LAB, color, clarity, carat) here: https://www.pricescope.com/diamond-search-results to see what similar diamonds are going for elsewhere.

Shopping in person is actually MORE risky in many ways than shopping online at trusted Pricescope vendors. You have to do a LOT of learning-- and you are spending a TON of money so... be sure to educate yourself well.

Par for the course. Very few do. You can order one yourself it's 55 bucks. Worth it if you consider that you are spending a ton on a diamond. http://www.ideal-scope.com/cart_order.asp Then learn how to use it.

Or you can go to an appraiser that has an ASET with the diamond, they can evaluate it for you.
