That one looks great, the longer lgf% compliments the angle combination.
Stupendous! Thank you, @Karl_K .

@Karl_K , as a general rule do 80% lgf work best with a shallower pavilion, like 40.6?
It works well with any reasonable pavilion angle.
Pavilions in the 40.6 range pop the mains/arrows a bit more than some. The longer lgf% balances that out a bit.
Shorter ones work also its a subtle thing.
keep in mind im talking about 75 and 80 actual % not GIA rounded numbers.Thanks. What about 75%, does that work best with any particular combination?

There are a lot of combos that work with 75 actual % mostly in the middle ideal cut range but 77-78 are the ones that will work well with almost any reasonable combo.
GIA in their stupidity calls one 75 and the other 80.
Just curious @Karl_K, how do you feel about the rounding, averaging, rounding and gross rounding in the GIA process?!?![]()
I just bought a stone that I need to recut to meet HCA and GIA XXX.
It is tricky because until we scan the stone we never really know what th proportions really are.
As I continue to learn more, this seems to be the most frustrating aspect in trying to select and advise purchases.
It almost feels like we say, "definitely, maybe" a bunch.
Imagine a world where we get a detailed SARIN report along with each lab report, rather that be GIA, AGS, etc.
