Personally, that flavor of transitional cut is best suited for earrings and pendants, which it already is so it works. The larger table sometimes results in a "flatness" under the table compared to the more floral patterns w/ smaller tables, and I dislike the flatness in rings. In earrings or pendants they look fine. DK is currently setting a pair of 6.1mm into dangles with that exact pattern, and I can appreciate the pattern just fine.
