EGL I is EGL Israel?

Here's a thread that discusses EGL grading: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/egl-certification-are-any-of-them-ok.142863/

EGL Israel has a reputation as one of the least accurate labs.

Here's a Pricescope resources on grading reports: https://www.pricescope.com/wiki/diamonds/diamond-grading-report

If you search for "GIA vs. EGL", you will find lots of info. I'm sure there was someone asking a similar question recently and there were a couple or three good links in one of the answers, but I haven't been able to find it. I'm sure that one of the regular posters will be along with the complete info.

Bottom line is that the diamond is priced based on its true value.

It is probably J or K color (possibly L) and SI1 at best. What are the crown and pavilion angles?

Just to tell you how off that report is, we have a member here who is currently buying a well cut 3 ct. GIA H VS2 at a very good price of $50,000. So I am certain that stone is not the color and clarity they say and we don't know enough information to judge cut. I personally wouldn't consider a stone that did not have GIA or AGS grading. Tell the vendor you might be interested and you will pay for the GIA grading. Otherwise you would not be able to judge if the price is good or horrible.

This might be interesting to some... For purposes of comparison I found this 5.06 on a B2B platform. Other 5ct diamonds circa the same price-per-carat include three EGL-graded H SI1s, eight GIA-graded diamonds ranging from I SI2 to K VS2 (centered around J SI1) and seven IGI-graded diamonds (also centered around J SI1). All have EX-VG cut, for what that's worth.

It's important to note that this data doesn't reflect what a retailer might ask the public for these individual diamonds. It just reflects how the trade prices the 5.06 to fellow professionals alongside others in the same size-category, and supports what prior posters have written.
