After months and months of lurking, learning and looking, I think I''ve finally found a diamond for my ering. What does everyone think about this:

1.35 H VS2
Depth %: 61.6
Table %: 56.3
Crown Angle: 34.4
Pavilion Angle: 40.9
Lower Girdle %: 76
Girdle: Thin to Slightly Thick Faceted
Measurements: 7.08-7.12X4.37

I''ll post the ASET too, I''d really love to hear all opinions!

JUMP on that baby. It''s stunning!!!! Unless of course you prefer an ugly one instead.

That would be the only reason not to buy that stunner.

Shay, you''re so funny - AND right!!

It''s a beautiful diamond and you have made a great choice!

You need to reserve it if you are really interested before someone else grabs it.

Soooo.........what did you decide? Did you buy this beauty?

I''m seriously considering it... but first I have to decide on a setting! I really like the Vatche Royal Crown but I wonder if it''s a tad too thick, and what type of band will match with it without there being too much of a huge gap between the two rings. Anyone else have one?

If you are seriously considering it, make sure to at least place it on hold while you are choosing the setting!

Ditto! That size is very desirable since it is more than a 1.25 but less than 1.5 where the price really jumps. Once you post a stone on here, remember that there are hundreds of lurkers who are reading advice but not posting.

The way the Royal Crown is made, I doubt it has a gap at all, but it would be small if it had one. It is one of the "wider" solitaires, though. I think it is at least 3mm from what I remember. It just depends on your preferences.

yes, i spoke with the rep today and it''s on hold. as soon as i decide which setting, we''ll be good to go.

question - do you think 3mm is wide? i was feeling pretty comfy with a 2.5mm band when I tried a few on at B&M stores... is there a big diff between the two?

I don''t think 3mm is wide at all. I guess I like wider bands though (mine is 6mm). I would try rings on in a B&M to decide what you like on your hand. The diamond is beautiful!

so... calling all experts...

I posted a quick question about the AGS report on this stone, but didn''t get any replies. The cert says there''s a "chip" but it''s so tiny I can''t even see the symbol on the plot when I look. I had to ask them to tell me where specifically it is.

Is this something I should be concerned about? This is a VS2 diamond. I can post the image but it''s supposedly on the pavillion side of the diamond and I don''t know if it can be seen at all from the photo.

Please... opinions...
