Is there any difference between these two diamonds?

So I'm up to my elbows in diamond specs! And I've found two very similar stones on Blue Nile and James Allen, only one is $1000 cheaper.

HCA results: BN 1.3
JA 0.9

How would that effect the look of the stones?

And they both score an overall 1A on the other tool, (will check the name in a sec), the JA scores 1B in depth where the BN has 1A for everything.
I'm waiting to hear back about wether the BN stone is eye clean, and the pics on the JA site look eye clean. I'll try and post links to their GIA certs if that helps :)

Thanks guys :)

Are you sure the links are right? The BN one I see is not available and the price is in $AUS. The JA one I see is not $1000 different in price, even before the AUS/US conversions.

It's correct, I've made an enquiry on I so they put it on hold for me. And Australian dollar is correct too :) though yeah, more like a few hundred dollars difference!

In that case...I don't know.

Normally BN is cheaper than JA because they provide a lower level of service.

The HCA scores are meaningless below 2. The HCA just gives a broad indication of how likely a diamond is to be good. It's purpose is to keep you from pursuing numerous stones that are not likely to be great, not to tell you everything.

The usual reason an SI1 turns out to be a bargain is that it isn't eye clean. But this one appears to be.

Are you in Australia? Is it possible you have to pay some sort of duty if you buy the JA stone? Is the BN stone in Australia? It doesn't appear so, but it's confusing.

The next step would be to request an Idealscope image of the JA stone and ask if they think it is eye clean.

Yep, I'm in Australia and both stones are in the US, so I'll have to pay customs for either.

Thank you for the info on HCA, there's so much info out there it gets confusing!

I'll see if I can get an image from JA :)
