Hi PSers! I've never worn anything on my wrists before usually because they are on the smaller side so the costume/fashion ones never seem to fit. I hope @Snowdrop13 doesn't mind me calling out her beautiful adorned wrist, but I was wondering if there are other threads that show this type of bangle? Also do ya'll find it comfortable to wear (other than typing on the computer... I think there's no way around that one)? Also, does the metal get banged up overtime and just get ruined? Appreciate the insight!

Snowdrop13's beautiful bangle!

Hi PierreBear! Thank you for your kind words. I've had this bangle for 2 or 3 years now, I bought it from Grace at JbG. I'm not too good with bracelets mostly as I don't like the movement up and down my wrist. I have small wrists too, so most bracelets are made waaay too big! This bangle is quite snug. I haven't had any damage to it at all, although I usually only wear it in leisure time as my work has a strict no jewellery policy. My only slight issue with it is it can be a squeeze to get it on!

I'm going to get a bangle, so if anyone has one, I'd be really interested to see it and hear your thoughts.

I really like the bangle in your avatar picture, very pretty yet understated and could easily be at home in causal or formal attire.

I believe that Grace makes several variations on this type of bangle.

Yes, she's made them with single diamonds, other stones and different golds too. Mine is 0.75ctw for reference.

I usually hate anything on my wrist, but this is an absurdly comfortable. I've had this bangle since 2014 and it's still pristine. Heck, it was even in a PSer's wedding as her something borrowed. It's my everyday bangle when I am not at work (no jewelry is allowed on arms due to jewelry being inherently dirty despite cleaning-- NICU standards).

Thank you so much for sharing and glad to hear that it is comfortable as clearly it's a good fit for you since you own multiple. So beautiful on your dainty wrist not to mention your delicate hand/fingers! :pray:
Ummm I feel silly even asking this but how do you determine the right size for a bangle? Measure your wrist and add a couple of inches so you can slide it on and off? Are there such things as "sizing bangels?" :think:

@PierreBear I only own one :D The others I was trying on to determine if I'd be interested in a single stone bangle. I just need to find the perfect stone and I'd be getting another. This was the standard size as I won my bangle at the JCK GTG a few years ago. For my brooch to bangle conversion, I measured my wrist and Grace suggested adding an inch IIRC so that it has a little movement on the wrist and won't make me feel like it's suffocating me. An odd way to describe it, but that's how i feel if things are too tight on my neck or wrist even if they aren't-- I feel like I'm being suffocated. Measure where you want it to sit most of the time and add a wee bit more to that.

@Austina ^_^ Thanks!

Very nice looking bangle. I bought a pair of 1ct from BGD. and a 3 ct from WF.

Thanks for the pointers! I was a bad girl yesterday and visited Tiffanys for the fun of it since I was at the mall running some errands. They had bangles as well. Much to my surprise though, it was bendable! Apparently they coat a wire with the gold. It was comfortable but I wasn't used to the feel. I never thought I would ever think of anything as "cheap" at Tiffanys but the lack of weight and the feeling of "rubber" didn't exude quality to me. Just a personal opinion. Hope I don't get slapped or banned by the commentary but it wasn't for me. Just thought it was interesting that there are so many more varieties in the realm of bangles.

I'm assuming yours is metal though, which is the route I may consider one day if I do a reset and find another stone. May I ask your thoughts on whether it would be bizarre if you had two round stones but the sizes didn't match? I have no idea about my mom's stone but I suppose I would inherit it one day. To have my original e-ring and my mom's stone would be a fun sentiment behind a bangle.

Yeah, mine are 14k rose gold. I suspect it would have a nicer feel than gold coated wire. The best part of these are that it doesn't look odd to do different sized stones-- kind of reminds me of the moi et toi rings Circa1700 does (different cuts and sizes)

I don't think it would look odd to have 2 different sized diamonds @PierreBear I think it would be something unusual and different from the norm
