Lovely setting and a beautiful rainbow display! What will you do with your smaller diamond now that you have this beauty?

Can I ask what your final customs % was and what courrier was used? I live in CH and have had such different valuations from different companies (dpm/fedex), and am always trying to understand how the 'administrative fees' can vary so much.

Well, I keep my other rings ... I love them as is ...

1215 diamonds shipped via FedEx, but as they don't have local carriers, the post office did the final delivery.
I paid 80USD for shipping (I asked for International Express instead of International Economy - this one would have been 50USD).

Regarding final customs, I had to pay directly to the postman :

36CHF Zollgaben/redevances de douane
+ 7 % VAT on the USD value of the ring
22CHF Admin fees
+ 7% vat on Admin fees
26CHF precious metal certification

All in all it represents approx 10% taxes.
No surprise ...
