OK, my ering has pave stones on the band half way down. My new wedding band has pave stones too. On my way home last night I noticed that I lost one of the little pave stones on the new wedding band. It is on the right side (towards middle finger). I called right away and they said that I need to just bring it in and they will replace the diamond. Cool. Then today while I was at work staring at the how ugly it looked. It looks like a missing tooth! I noticed a problem with one of the pave stones on my ering. It all of a sudden looks cloudy. Once I inspected it close up it looks crushed. When you scrape your nail across the others it feels normal. When I scrape my nail across this one it feels like it is in many pieces. Is it possible that I crushed it? Or do you think it is just chipped? Its hard to tell exactly what you are feeling with your nail when it is so small. I remember hitting my hand the other day, but I don''t remember hitting it hard enough to crush a diamond and knock a stone loose. I don''t have a bruise even.

It''s certainly possible to crack a diamond by accident, all you have to do is hit it juuuust right

Or if the two stones knocked against each other. You could have cracked one in the process of dislodging the other. That stinks though

Do you have pave on 3 sides of both of your e-ring and band? If you do, it''s possible that the diamonds were rubbing against each other and hence a chip on the pave. As for the dislodged pave, one of mine fell off on my e-ring 2 days after I received it. I was told that it''s normal for that to happen when it''s just been professionally cleaned since it gets any loose dirt that may have been trapped underneath the stone out...Also, even if the ring wasn''t cleaned yet, it could hapen with just moving the hand with day to day activities. Hopefully your jeweler will be able to replace it easily!
