I think I''m set on G to get a bit more carat size... is this a good decision or should I get an smaller F?

If we''re talking a real GIA or AGS graded "G" it''s a great color for all but the most color sensitive people around. A G is going to be a great value for most people!

I agree! G would be fine for MOST people if it''s a very well cut RB. What shape stone are you planning on?

For me personally, G is a great color!

G is a wonderful colour! Save your money and go with the G colour!

For me G would be splurging! Since I''m a size girl, I wear an I (which I love), but if money wasn''t an issue, I''d get a G. I don''t think I would actually pay for more than that.

Depends on what is more important to you ... size or color?

G is a great color and is near colorless. Many people are hard pressed to tell the difference b/n D - F range and G, therefore, if size is important to you, "G" is for "GO for it!" If it is a "mind clean" issue, then stick with D - F range or else it will always bother you.

For whatever it''s worth, I am a D - F girl typically, however, I know for certain b/c I''ve seen them, that there are tons of G''s out there that would more than make me happy. The difference b/n say F and G, for example, is so subtle that it is likely not even noticeable many times once the diamond has been set. This is, of course, given that we are taken about well cut and accurately graded (AGS/GIA) stones.

Good luck with your decision!

Definitely go with the G. Unless you are extremely color sensitive, you won''t be able to tell the difference. The majority of the people won''t be able to see the difference between the two colors.

I love "G" color. I have an H, and it is extremely white. I vote "G" and bigger size!

I think G is a great color for a diamond.

G is an excellent color. I have a g colored stone and I love it!

H-K with strong blue fluorescence might also be worth a look...save big $ money or go for a larger stone.

G is a great color. It''s a sweet spot for many.

Ditto that, it can be a great middleground.

Definitely go with a G. I have an I and it''s icy white so a G would be amazing!

You''re ring is from Tiffany''s right? I''m getting mine from there too, it''s the legend actually. I guess being from Tiffany''s any color works

This is key. Many people try to get a ''feel'' for color grades at jewelry counters in commercial markets. Not apples to apples. If you''re rolling with GIA/AGS it''s a wonderful option.

If it is GIA or AGS "G" this will be totally white, I would even go down to an H!!!

I personally think "G" is a great color for value! I personally would go as low as "H-I" for some cuts.

G = Gorgeous

it will be icy white

Hello!

I think a G stone will be perfect! I''m no expert by any means but I''ve learned a lot here on pricescope and have been blown away by how white J stones look!!
So I think a G will be awesome!! Good luck!!

I never thought I would buy an "H" color diamond, but I love it!!!
