I picked the 4 prong but was worried about the diamond falling out.
The person I am dealing with said they never had an issue w/ 4 prong so I ordered it b/c 4 prong shows off the diamond more, which I figure is important for a solitaire...?

Anyway, I still have time to change it if you guys think 6 prong is the way to go.
It is James Allen knife edge solitaire 2mm white gold

4 or 6 prong makes virtually no difference to the security of the diamond. Keep an eye on tightness and prong tips.

thank you! My mind is at ease

I''ll be sure to have it periodically checked for tightness.

after speaking to several jewelers, I feel comfortable that 4 prongs will be secure, especially if its well set. There are several girls here (Harriet for instance) who have larger stones w/ 4 prongs...

hope this helps!
