Is 3 weeks a long time to wait for 2 rings to be resized?

Hi,

I took 2 rings (1 antique platinum with diamonds, 1 antique white gold with diamonds) to be resized. I went to a local jewelry store. I dropped them off on Sept. 29th and just received them on October 19th. Is this an unusual amount of time for rings to be resized? I''m worried that they might have done something shady like replace some of the diamonds... It just seems like I had to wait a long time to get them in a bigger size. Any thoughts?

No, it all depends on the amount of work they have to do and the number of workers they have doing the work. I think it''s always a good idea to get the projected pick-up date at the outset. That way, if it seems too long, you can go elsewhere. But if someone wanted to switch a stone, it could be done while leaving it for an afternoon. But that is a very rare thing to happen in an established jewelry store.
