Lorelei what is stinkeye??????? We would love some pink capes, tee hee. Would love to see pictures of your mare, wouldn''t we IG????
We would, Linda!

And I believe stinkeye is kinda like ''the evil eye'' . . . basically a dirty look! Something like this, maybe:

Oh ha ha ha. My mom used to give that to my brother and I. We used to call it ''the hairy eyeball'' ha ha ha. In fact when my bro and I argue (which we still do), she still gives it to us
9.gif
Ah, yes . . . the hairy eyeball! I know it well!

LOL!!! IG summed it up Linda! Jasmine has her own special variety of stinkeye.....You see this beady staring eyeball piercing into you when she is displeased about something ( which happens daily generally!!)

The biggest item on my wish list is an e-ring upgrade, which DH has agreed that we can do, hopefully for our fifth anniversary (which will be July 21, 2010). Of course, I wouldn''t turn down any blingy gifts he decides to give me between now and then! LOL!
2.gif

How about you? Anything in the works?
31.gif
Wooo hooo for upgrade!! In 2010 that is our 10 year anniversary. hehe Nothing in the works here. I saw your wedding pictures posted around here somewhere and you are looked so pretty!!!

Awwww, thanks Miss Skippy! You''re too sweet!

My aunt and uncle are professional photographers, and they did all our wedding photography for us . . . for free!!! I think I posted the link to our wedding pics over in the "Post the Faces" thread, but here''s the link in case anyone else would like to see them: Our Wedding

Hey Irishgrrl, how was your week? Any exciting plans for the weekend? Are you guys doing anything for halloween? (mmmm, candy!)

Aw, you look lovely! May I ask what the story behind the Pooh Bear is?
5.gif

Jo, hi, how are you?
35.gif

My week was pretty good, but BUSY! Part of my job is preparing bankruptcy petitions for our clients. With the economy being what it is, we have had A LOT of people filing bankruptcy lately! Hopefully that will slow down soon!
32.gif

On a happier note, it was trick-or-treat in our neighborhood last night, and we handed out about 3,000 pounds of candy! LOL! The kids were all really cute, and we had a great time!
9.gif

This weekend should be fun. I have a three-day weekend. I''m taking a vacation day on Monday because Monday is DH''s 30th birthday!!! I''m not sure what all we''re planning to do this weekend, but we''re at least going out to dinner on Monday night to celebrate his birthday!
21.gif

Dani, thanks! You''re so sweet!
emembarrassed.gif

And the story behind the Pooh bear is funny! When I was little, Pooh was my favorite toy. I had a stuffed Pooh bear at every house I frequented . . . one at home, one at my babysitters house, one at my grandparents'' house, etc. I think my birthday cake for my first birthday was even in the shape of a Pooh bear! So, even though we were planning to open our gifts at home after the wedding, my Mom and Stepdad made us open the one from them at the wedding. Of course, there was a Pooh bear inside! LOL!

Hey, I''m doing good. I had a great week. I got a raise at work (yay), and dh got some good news for his business. Just been a lot of good news, so I''m flying high!
1.gif

That''s really sad about how many people are going thru the bankruptcy process. Clints parents went through that about 7 years ago, and his brother did about 2 years ago. Neither have been able to bounce back yet, and that is just so hard to watch. Especially because in many ways it was from things out of their control.

Serisously????? 3000 pounds?????
6.gif
Busy neighborhood?
Oh, and happy birthday to your hub!!!

Congrats on the raise and the good news for your DH''s business!!! YAY!!!

Yeah, it''s sad to see so many people filing bankruptcy. Especially the people who are in danger of losing their homes, and are so reluctant to file bankruptcy and are so ashamed to be in that position. I think most of them genuinely do not want to file bankruptcy, but they''re at a point where they really have no alternative. I really feel for them.
7.gif

Well, maybe not quite 3,000 pounds, but it must have been pretty close! LOL! We do still have one bowl full of candy left over though. Yum!
18.gif

And thanks for the birthday wishes for DH! I''ll tell him you said so!

How was your weekend and your dh''s bday? Clint''s was on Sunday, but we didn''t really get to do much of anything, as he had to do a bunch of work. Oh well. We''ll try and go to a movie maybe later in the week or this weekend. Have you seen any good ones recently?

Hi, Jo!
35.gif

My weekend was great, and DH''s birthday was great! His sister snuck over to our house in the wee hours of yesterday morning and decorated DH''s truck and our front yard with balloons! It was so cute! LOL!
9.gif

We went out to dinner at Red Robin last night, and it was really good. I had TWO Bailey''s milkshakes!
18.gif

And it''s funny you should ask about movies . . . my Mom and I just went to see "The Changeling" yesterday, and it was VERY good! It was especially interesting because it''s a true story. I usually am not a huge fan of Angelina Jolie, but I thought she did a very good job with that role.

I''m late on this, but I had a mare a few years ago, her name was Peneskova (google her, you should get pictures of a gray arabian mare). She NEVER GAVE A STINK EYE at my house. EVER. When I got her home, she didn''t know how to back out of the trailer, no one had taught her how to back up. I had to turn her around in a two horse trailer, and let her run out and had a friend grab her as she came out. But she never ever got pissy. I spent MONTHS teaching her to back up, stand tied, and stand to be blanketed. She was terrified of the blanket (I know the previous breeder before her DIDN"T cause this, they are wonderful people, it''s something from her youth I think). NEVER got mad, gave me an evil glare or anything and finally was calm as can be. Even when she was in heat, she had the sweetest eye. I call it the mom eye.... those big liquid soft, never pissy loving doting eyes. I''ll have to find a picture of the eye at some point. I experienced 1 count it 1 other mare with the mom eye, she never got to be a mom, but I LOVED that mare. Her name was Mahogany.... anyway. Just wanted to share

Aw, Dragonfly, I''m glad you had such a wonderful girl!

I''ve known several very sweet, loving, kind mares. However, most of them are guilty of giving the "stink eye" at least once or twice!

Glad you had a good weekend. Any of that halloween candy left? I stole a bunch from my mom when I went to see her on Sunday.....hee hee. She had lots of leftovers, too.

Oh, we have a BUNCH of Halloween candy left over! It''s sitting in a big bowl on our coffee table and it''s CALLING MY NAME!!!

I really liked the Changeling, but I just have to warn you: you probably won''t like the ending. The movie was great, and you really WANT it to end a certain way, but it doesn''t.
15.gif

Yes most of them do give the stink eye. My trainer had a paint mare. She was honest to goodness the most beautiful horse I had ever seen. She was a red dun tovero with double sided markings and double sided mane. I''ll have to find pictures of her. She was registered paint, but you would have thought she was half arabian with her beautiful head. Seriously, the most beautiful horse. She was pasture bred twice. After the first time, it was like she wasn''t the same horse. Went from a diva but sweet mare to mare on a rampage. She would give EVIL looks, ears back, grrr nostrils, eyes, and sometimes she''d even bite at the bars to get you to go away. Sad because she was one H*** of a mare. Her name was Legend. She had a solid paint breeding stock filly as her first foal, awesome horse, easily could have gone pro reiner, but my trainer gave her away. Her second foal was a palomino paint who died at 2 months from a tumor. Legend passed recently from colic. She was def. a snarky mare.

Well, then I better not take Clint. He hates movies that don''t have the ending your hoping for. That just ruins the whole movie for him. I can get over that, esp when its based on a true story.
So did you go vote yet?

Dragonfly, wow, Legend sounds gorgeous! I''d love to see pics if you have any!

Jo, I''m like you . . . I can get over the bad ending if the movie is good, and it was IMO! And I did vote! I voted at 7:30 this morning, on my way to work. I got in and out in about five minutes! Yay! How about you?
