My FF and I were lucky enough to get ahold of a brand-new Tiffany Etoile Solitaire from a 3rd party. It was checked out at Tiffany and all of the paperwork matches up with the inscriptions on the band and in the diamond. I am soooo excited! We got such a good deal! The Valuation Report is under a year old so we were told that it''s still valid. The cutomer service rep also said that they wouldn''t be able to draw up new papers for us anyway and that we''d have to use an outside appraiser if we wanted anything else.
OK, so now here are my questions.... I don''t own a home, so I''d like some advice about where to go for insurance. I''ve heard a few company names thrown out around here, but I need a company that can insure me and give me back *exactly* what I have, a Tiffany Etoile ring. Also, I have 2 copies of the Valuation report, one to send to the insurance company... Is it OK that it''s someone else''s name on the report? If I just black that portion out, will that do, or would most reputable companies prefer a new independent appraisal in my name? Sorry for all of the questions, I just want to insure my beauuuuutiful ring!
