Insurance on the ring

Well I bought the ring (thanks to all of the Pricescope members who helped and to Barbara at Union Diamond she is the best!) and she accepted now I am looking for insurance we do not live together so I need a policy on the ring itself.

Can anyone recommend an insurance company that is reliable and has good rates for engagement rings. Also, what has been your experience with them in the claims department if you have made a claim for a loss or stolen ring.

There are really no downsides that I have heard for Chubb. If you have a loss, they cut you a check for the insured amount. However, there may be a minimum value of the item required. Jeweler''s Mutual is another popular one. My only complaint about them is that they require periodic checking of the ring/stone to continue coverage. Aside from that being inconvenient, that would be a good option if you can''t get Chubb.
