Hello Everyone -

I have narrowed down by search to the two diamonds below and was hoping to get your input and suggestions on the cut.

I'm thinking this diamond seems shallow.
Carat - 2.07
Cut - Excellent
Color - H
Measurements - 8.35-8.40-4.99MM
Table % - 56
Depth % - 59.6
Crown - 33
Pavilion - 41
Lower half girdle - 80%
Thin to medium faceted

I'm not sure how the 85% lower half girdle would look
Second Diamond
Carat 2.14
Cut - Excellent
Color - H
Measurements - 8.23 -8.27.5.11
Table % - 58
Depth% -62
Crown - 34.5
Pavilion - 41
Lower half girdle - 85%
medium to slightly thick faceted

Thank you!!!!

Can you post the lab reports and the ideal scope pics?

I don't have the idealscope images but here are the certificates.

Thank you!!!

Only the certificate on the 2.07 is showing.

Hi
I like both the stones, 2.07ct has HCA Score 0.5 which is Excellent and 2.14ct stone has 1.6 HCA Score,
I would choose the 2.07ct stone, being VS2 stone would be eye clean for sure and all the proportions are well
under the limits, I would choose 2.07ct.

The 2.07 faces up slightly larger plus I like the smaller table. Did you ask the gemologist which one performs the best?

Thanks! What should I ask for to determine the performance of the diamonds? I will be purchasing it through BN.

They won't provide you with ANYTHING! So I wouldn't suggest buying from them. Are you open to other options?

Perfect example:

It's bigger, less $$ (JA also offers PS members an additional discount - I'd ask them what they're offering on this one after putting it on hold and requesting an ideal scope image which is what would show how the stone performs. BN does not provide this or anything else).

If you decide to look into the JA stone, ask the gemologist to assess the feather on the girdle to be sure that it isn't a durability issue. It looks like it could be pronged to give it added protection but you should definitely ask first. JA will provide a gemological evaluation and IS images of three diamonds for free. If you like the one recommended then I would choose two more and have them compare them side by side for you. Either of the other stones look fine based on the report alone, however as mentioned that is all that you will receive from BN regarding the performance of the stone. They do have a good return policy though.
