Inked the Deal with LEON M / CUSHION RING WAIT BEGINS!

I finally decided on this stone..... thanks to all the PSers who helped educate and lead me in the right direction! It is the one that is shown in this thread. It is sourced from Leon Mege/ Perry Chen. I looked and looked and kept coming back to this one.

I have decided to go with a three stone Leon setting with two trapezoids on either side .... thanks to PS suggestions to help fill the space of my "thick" size 8 3/4 fingers! I had not really given the three stone idea any thought as I thought I wanted a plain solitaire mounting. But I am soooo glad I was encouraged to look a little further. I love this look and think it is a perfect way to accent the stone, and widen the space across my finger.

NOW..... what can I do for a band? Any suggestions would be appreciated!!

Are they step-cut traps or more like a radiant-cut trap?

Do you like diamond eternity bands, plain bands, 5-stone bands?

Which setting is it? Can you link to it for us?

I would not think about bands until you see your finished ring.

But off the top of my head, a nice micropave band, thin, looks great with anything.

They are step traps. The band on the ER will have pave stones as well.

I don't think it needs a band. I love that style on it's own.

How exciting! How long a wait did Leon indicate you'll have? Just curious, as I'm heading up to NYC to meet with Leon next week and want a similar ring (i.e. similar amount of labor)....

Yennyfire, I wish I was going with you. I would love to meet with Leon in person. I have found Perry to be an enormous amount of help and he has lots of patience. They have indicated about 5 weeks or so. They will have to select the traps and then I will have my final consultation with Leon. I am beyond excited!!

What are you going to have him do ??? Do tell !!

Antelope1..... I always thought anything over 1 carat was large and 2 carats was excessive. Now...... not so much
