Ok through no fault of my own my gf has just found out what I was doing and put a gigantic stop to it. To paraphrase "YOU WILL WAIT UNTIL I GET THERE AND I WILL HELP CHOOSE MY OWN DIAMOND/RING, THEN YOU CAN GIVE IT TO ME AT AN UNDISCLOSED TIME" kind of conversation.

I really want to thank you all for all the help and I will be back probably some time next monday when she is back and we can look for it together. She also wants to go to some stores to see how the different bands/sizes fits on her finger, which makes sense. But we are definitely buying online.
