I just ordered my own engagement ring!

Haha, that sounds kind of weird! But my boyfriend wanted me to pick out exactly what I wanted, so I ended up doing all the talking with the vendors, and he just gave me with his credit card info!

I'm feeling all jittery and can't sit still or concentrate on work!

I decided to go with Whiteflash''s 3-stone W-prong setting, except with a Richard Homer sapphire for the center stone

I can''t wait to see how it turns out!
(And I can''t wait to have two ACAs of my very own!)

The paperwork says expected ship date is 8/31, but I think that might just be a place-holder date - Richard Homer hasn''t shipped the sapphire to Whiteflash yet!
So I don''t want to get my hopes up too much!

Richard just shipped the stone to Whiteflash today - yay!!!

I did exactly the same, designed the ring, picked the stone, did all the leg work - and sent FI the address to send the $$ to! He knew better than to try and surprise me

There''s been a bit of a hiccup in the process (posted over in Colored Stones).
Whiteflash will be sending the sapphire and setting to Richard Homer, and he''ll be having one of his jewelers set it.
Keeping fingers crossed that this is the "worst" of it!

I''m another that did all the research, went to see the vendor (ERD) and finalized the whole deal. Really, all BF did was send the check!

BUT...it''s okay. I didn''t mind at all...did you?

He really wanted me to have exactly what I wanted and frankly, it was the most fun and happy and exciting thing I''ve ever done. BF was there with me in spirit (we live in different states right now) and couldn''t be happier that I was happy with my choice.

It''s 3 months later, the ring is done and in my BF''s possession. Engagement is next week. YAY!!!

Your sapphire/diamond ring is going to be spectacular! Beautiful! I think we are lucky girls that we were given free range to get our perfect, dream rings!
