Chrono - without realising it you have seriously enabled me

I have wanted a Tsavorite over 2ct for ages BUT I''m not a fan of the colour that is considered to be "the best". I find it too dark. Soooooooooooooo, you then go and post up a stunning photo of your new Tsav and ............. I realised that I WANTED a neon-y Tsav in a colour I love!!!

Bought, paid for and waiting to arrive - 2.15ct, slightly included ..........

Oh, so pretty! Love the color. I''m also not a fan of the darker greens. This one is just purfect!

They said it's a very bright green with blue flashes (which is what I wanted). I wanted a mix of green/blue. They also said it has a big showy face and will look great when mounted. They're coming back to me on Tuesday about the chemical make up i.e. vanadium/chromium etc.

Wow, how are they determining the chemical makeup? I know you can determine Chromium with a chelsea filter, but not sure how to do vanadium without some big expensive machine. Interesting.

Did AJS take additional pictures for you? I find the requested pictures are usually better than the original one on the website (more accurate in terms of colour and show the clarity clearer too).

Ok - to answer some of your questions ..............

Chrono (the "Enabler") - I didn''t ask for additional photos because they were closing for the New Year/Easter period so I decided just to go for it. Although they did answer my hundreds of questons!!! They''ve got a good returns policy so I''m confident that I can send it back if not happy. It was worth the risk because it was in their closeout section and the price was just tooooooo tempting. To be honest, there were 3 Tsavs that I had a hard time deciding between but it was the magic 2ct mark that tipped this one into my basket!!!

Lady D - no idea how I''m going to set it! I think it''ll go in a temporary LOGR in the short term and then we''ll see.

Icekid - I would think it''ll be here in about a week or so. Don''t worry, I''ll get the camera out and start snapping as soon as it arrives!

I love it especially when the price is too good to be true, and then you are pleasantly and joyfully surprised when you open the shipping pacakge.

TL - yep, always on the lookout for a bargain!!! When I manage to buy bargains I always try not to get my hopes up too much to avoid disappointment. If it''s great then that''s a bonus!
