Not very scientific but anecdotal and would like to know. If you know people who have tested positive and are vaccinated, hopefully the poll makes sense. I’m not very familiar with AstraZeneca so I did the best I could.
Finally. Comments welcome in regard to the severity of these positive results.

Two doses of AZ and boosted with Pfizer for those who are over 40s which is not an option to select.

I do not know the ones under 40s well enough to know what they had.

DK :))

Ty! That’s why I did AstraZeneca and boosted without specifying which kind

I did not know that was your intention.

My coworker had Johnson then Pfizer, she tested positive with PCR test and then negative with PCR test again 3 days later. No symptoms.

Moderna 2x but not boosted (FIL and wife, wife was positive but no symptoms, FIL got monoclonal antibodies) coworker 2x Pfizer but not boosted, very mild and only knew from testing after exposure at work. A few relatives as well, all Pfizer with no booster.

2x pfizer and 3x pfizer has the largest # of people in their categorizes so without adjusting for that and age and health the raw numbers are useless.

I did say it was unscientific and am curious bc I haven’t come across any of these findings—but then I’m not going out of my way to research either
Maybe @missy has that research elsewhere in one of her threads

I had it a few weeks ago after two doses of Pfizer, my husband after two Astra Zeneca. Pretty sure we both had Delta. We are 30s/40s and healthy. Neither of us were very ill, I think that could have been a different story if we were unvaccinated. We are in the UK and I feel grateful and privileged that we have such a good healthcare system.

My husband chose the J&J vaccine. He is extremely careful and always wears a mask because I didn't develop any antibodies. He tested positive on 12/20. He felt like he had a bad cold or mild flu. He isolated for 10 days. Thankfully he is fine.

Edited to add that several of our friends, and their families, have tested positive. Most of them received Pfizer or Moderna vaccines. Many have already received booster shots.

So far, hubby and DD and I have all been exposed to someone who tested positive the next day and we are all boosted Pfizer by 3 and no positives for us. My niece exposed her parents and my mom and all negative, all Pfizer

Wanted to add know of 2 cases of having covid early then 2 vaccines and got it again.
If I recall right one was 2x pfizer and the other 2x Moderna.
The pfizer one hadn't hit 6 months yet for a booster and I dont know about the other why no booster.

My little brother had one shot Johnson. A month later caught covid and gave it to me ( 2 times pfizer) and my older brother ( 2 times Moderna). This was during the delta wave. And my breakthrough case wasn’t fun. Glad I was vaccinated. Since I had monoclonal, I can’t get a booster until January 15th. So close!

I don’t have anything specifically discussing this exact topic but perhaps some will find this helpful.

This is really helpful! I also appreciate anecdotal stories of what’s going on so we can keep a tab on our health and stay safe!

A few weeks ago (before Omicron) my sister mentioned a change in people who were catching COVID. She has a niche medical job where she has been giving in home COVID antibody treatments. Completely anecdotal, but she said she was seeing increasingly vaccinated folks testing positive. She gives transfusions. She suspicioned that the vaccines were waning, or the virus was changing. She was quite alarmed.

My friends got Covid (in the UK) after they’d had 2 doses of Pfizer, and before they got their booster, (also before Omicron). They said it was like a really bad cold and got over it relatively quickly, and without any lasting effects.

A critical consideration is when did the person get vaccinated and get the booster. The protection of the vaccines wane after time....no one knows for sure how much time and everyone is different but certainly the further one is from getting the vaccine the less protected one is. IMO.

Lucky for you my dad just got his results and tested positive.

Two doses of Astrazeneca, no booster. He went to get tested because one of his colleagues tested positive. He had/has zero symptoms but was curious. I've never seen anyone so excited to test positive before! He said he had "Covid vibes" and was hoping for a positive because it means he can fight Covid like a champ.

Government is letting him out of isolation in 3 days time. He's as right as rain!!! Not even a cough or sore throat.

ETA: Dude planted a tree after his first dose of AZ and rolled 100 spring rolls after his second. He also took to the vaccine like a trooper!

64yrs old so he's youngish!

My daughter (she's 6) tested positive for COVID last week after 2 doses of Pfizer. She had the second shot right after Thanksgiving. Her friend that was vax'd at the same time got it as well. They've both had very minor cases.

DH and I had Moderna in spring and got boostered right before Thanksgiving and we tested negative.

My brother tested positive after 3 Pfizer. Booster was only a few days before positive test. He had the monoclonal antibodies and recovered quickly. He is awaiting results on a PCR test again. Mild scratchy throat and fatigue that lasted a few days.

Friends of mine:

Asymptotic: 3 X Pfizer 38 y/o male
Only loss of sense of smell: 2 X Pfizer 37 y/o female
Bad cold /sinusitis /fever out for about 6-7 days : 2 X Pfizer 4 months after vaccine , 44 y/o female
Mild cold (heavy fatigue 3 days /running nose): 2 X Pfizer 1x Moderna male 48

Very mild cold (sore throat, sneezing): 2x Pfizer 1x moderna 18 y/o male
Very mild cold : 2x Pfizer , 1 X moderna, 18 y/o female

I think I forgot someone , but that's all I can remember right now

Two close friends (living 800kms away from me) down with uncomfortable symptoms (like a bad flu). Both working at the same school.
Both Pfizer Pfizer Moderna. Three more colleagues down with milder heavy cold like symptoms. All Pfizer Pfizer Moderna
Despite strict hygiene protocol and KN95 masks and air purifier in classrooms and meeting room.

One 9y/o who's only had one dose of Pfizer.
That's the last three days for me. I want to scream

My son, husband and I all got Covid and all of us are vaccinated.
My son is 10 yrs old and received two doses of Pfizer. He was the first to get sick. He was also the sickest of the three of us with fevers every 6 hours, coughing, runny nose, sore throat, fatigue and body aches. He was sick for three days and then his symptoms just disappeared.
My husband had two doses of Moderna and the booster. He had no symptoms and tested bc he was in close proximity to my son before we knew he had Covid.
I had two doses of Pfizer and the booster. I started to get symptoms a week after my son- coughing and sore throat, body aches, fatigue and shortness of breath with activity. I’m feeling better now though. I’ve had symptoms for a little over a week.

Wishing you a speedy recovery
Sorry you and your caught it and had symptoms

Well, I think we all might, though the only one to show any symptoms so far is DD. I can't find any tests to buy and can't get an appt. for the pharmacy testing so I'm just making the assumption based on her low fever, stuffy nose, light cough and minor fatigue. She's happily playing her videogames in her room with no interruption. She can't be feeling too badly as I hear her laughing like a loon with her friends.

We are all vaccinated, DH and I are Moderna+3 and the DS and DD, are Pfizer+2.

* We've been exposed over and over the last several weeks- through their school because of low child vax rates in the area(and sick kids just coming to school anyway) despite masking, as well as a relative at Christmas(we all voluntarily isolated for a week, despite no symptoms then, just in case).
Lucky that there is a holiday weekend so isolating this time is easy and dovetails nicely. It's exploding here. Most people have become pretty lax in this area. Everybody has it, or will soon. We just mask like we always have, and deal.

I had a positive PCR a couple of weeks ago. No symptoms. I had two Moderna shots and COVID prior to that (with very mild symptoms). Neither my husband (Pfizer x 3) nor my kids (Pfizer x2) had any symptoms or tested positive. Then again none of them had ever tested positive last year when I did either even though they all had some symptoms and my son was sick for six weeks.

I had 2 doses of Moderna and was boosted and tested positive early this week. I’m doing OK and fortunately with good isolation precautions have not given it to family yet! My toddler and husband had Delta back about 3-4 months ago and my elementary schooler is vaccinated and an excellent masker :)
