Great News @House Cat . How are you feeling? Are you feeling a little less anxious now that you know your son is ok?
Ditto. I honestly think omicron is unavoidable unless you literally avoid general society entirely.Omicron is so contagious that unless you’re a hermit I think it will be impossible to avoid. I still don’t know where I got it from.
But I also think being vaccinated helps you not get as sick as you would otherwise so there’s still value to the vaccine!
my oldest son and daughter in law got covid in mid January they were both vaccinated and boosted at the end of December, they had pfizer
My mom has it. 3x Pfizer.
Oh absolutely! I hope it didn’t come across as if I didn’t think the vaccine was worth it. Quite the contrary! It’s keeping people out of the hospital!

@MamaBee they are much better, my 2 year old grand daughter was the sickest of them it took her a couple of weeks to get rid of the cough, my daughter in law was the next sickest and my son the least but they had really bad cold symptoms that lasted almost a week, thanks for asking.
I got COVID after 2xAstraZeneca, likely the Omicron variant.
Clinically "mild" symptoms don't always mean a walk in the park. It flattened me the first three days, by the fourth day I had a persistent, chesty, and very bothersome cough that lasted until day 18. I fatigued really easily, had a lot of headaches, and mostly slept. I only had a fever (and diarrhoea, oddly enough) on the first day of symptom onset.

God forbit if you said that, the thought police are watching!
Remember what they've said when the vaccines started rolling, that the protection will be around 95%.![]()
When it first rolled the claim was that it protects against catching and transmiting the virus. It was all over the news. The vaccines are highly effective.
To prevent death and severe Covid.

That was one of the reasons they introduced vax passes.
Now that doesn't stand, as we already know vaxxed people catch and transmit the virus too.
This pandemic and everything associated with it is constantly evolving. We do know getting vaccinated greatly reduces the risk of death from Covid as compared to not getting vaccinated.
Yes, but as things evolve we are able to asses risks better.
What might be safe for you might not be safe for me, hence there should always be choice.
