My son had 3x Pfizer

Very mild symptoms for three days

My mom has it. 3x Pfizer.

Great News @House Cat . How are you feeling? Are you feeling a little less anxious now that you know your son is ok?

Thank you @Calliecake. I’m doing ok. Today was five days for my husband and I to test. I’m negative. My husband said he would test later but he is symptom free. I do feel less nervous about my son. I do feel it’s weird that my husband and I didn’t get it with all of the talk about how contagious Omicron is, but I’m just going to consider us lucky.

I was one who got Pfizer, no booster AND had a wicked case of COVID over the holiday. I had 103 fevers for 8 days before the cough kicked in. Took me 2 full weeks before I even felt well enough to do minor housework or go to work (I’m 100% remote). My husband who is not vaccinated, also had COVID, very mild symptoms, felt better In 4/5 days although the stayed home for 2 weeks Due to his office policy.

My trust in the vaccine is waining greatly now….

I got Omicron.

It really doesn't matter with Omicron which vaccine I got, because of the nature of this covid strain.

I got Covid Feb 4-6 (tested on the 6th). I got a negative test w a rapid on the 5th but didn’t trust it bc I still felt bad. I had Moderna boosted w Pfizer (the pharmacy for the booster only had Pfizer which I didn’t realize; but I didn’t feel like going somewhere else). The first three days were throat soreness and congestion and the next days were fatigue and flu like. Plus I got anxiety worried I might have “long Covid”. Anyway I’m feeling better now. Omicron is so contagious that unless you’re a hermit I think it will be impossible to avoid. I still don’t know where I got it from.

Ditto. I honestly think omicron is unavoidable unless you literally avoid general society entirely.

But I also think being vaccinated helps you not get as sick as you would otherwise so there’s still value to the vaccine!

Oh absolutely! I hope it didn’t come across as if I didn’t think the vaccine was worth it. Quite the contrary! It’s keeping people out of the hospital!

my oldest son and daughter in law got covid in mid January they were both vaccinated and boosted at the end of December, they had pfizer

No not at all! I was just voicing my own opinion, sorry that was confusing!

I know some who had Moderna, some who had Pfizer. Some had boosters, too. Most were all mild. One had no symptoms, but her sense of smell and taste were negatively affected. Still not back to "normal". No doubt, all were Omicron.

Pretty much everyone i know has gotten Covid after being vaxxed at this point. Vaxxed and boostered. My friend is vaxxed 3x with Pfizerand currently has Covid.

I only know a few people who have gotten COVID. None of my friends have yet (fingers crossed). Two employees with young children in school, (for perscpective, I have 32 Employees) and my daughter who went to a funeral and to the families home after. She is vaxed , wasn't yet time for booster, but was a fairly mild case. Both employees were vaxed with Moderna, both 40. One boosted, one not. Boosted one was a bit sick, unboosted one was pretty sick for at least two weeks. Both physically fit, not underlying conditions. For me, the scary thing is the unpredictability of the virus and how it affects people in a willy-nilly way. But I do agree with @yssie that to avoid it you need to avoid general society.

@MamaBee they are much better, my 2 year old grand daughter was the sickest of them it took her a couple of weeks to get rid of the cough, my daughter in law was the next sickest and my son the least but they had really bad cold symptoms that lasted almost a week, thanks for asking.

I’m so happy they are on the mend. It must have been so scary to know they were sick.

I got COVID after 2xAstraZeneca, likely the Omicron variant.
Clinically "mild" symptoms don't always mean a walk in the park. It flattened me the first three days, by the fourth day I had a persistent, chesty, and very bothersome cough that lasted until day 18. I fatigued really easily, had a lot of headaches, and mostly slept. I only had a fever (and diarrhoea, oddly enough) on the first day of symptom onset.

My parents, whom I live with, did not test positive. My dad had 2xSinovac and boosted with 1xModerna (got it booster 2 weeks before I got sick). My mom at the time only had 2xSinovac. She and I just got our Moderna boosters four days ago.

Gosh I wouldn't call that mild! That is a long time to feel that bad. I hope you are okay now.

Hubby has Covid again - He received Moderna vaccines x2 and Moderna booster.

Mild symptoms this time, thank the Lord! I have tested negative a few times over the last week. All the same symptoms but no positive test. Strange

Some of the people I work with daily have it. Thankfully I am not in an office with them! So far I've been good. The husband did not catch it amazingly (but he's got a trip to Panama in 5 days we shall see how that holds up!)

God forbit if you said that, the thought police are watching!

Remember what they've said when the vaccines started rolling, that the protection will be around 95%.

The vaccines are highly effective.
To prevent death and severe Covid.

When it first rolled the claim was that it protects against catching and transmiting the virus. It was all over the news.

That was one of the reasons they introduced vax passes.
Now that doesn't stand, as we already know vaxxed people catch and transmit the virus too.

This pandemic and everything associated with it is constantly evolving. We do know getting vaccinated greatly reduces the risk of death from Covid as compared to not getting vaccinated.

Yes, but as things evolve we are able to asses risks better.
What might be safe for you might not be safe for me, hence there should always be choice.

The mRNA technology has been around for a long time. It’s very safe. For the great overwhelming majority. Speak with your doctor if you have questions.

Nah, I'm good.

(can't say more without disclosing personal medical data)

I think omicron is capricious. I know of 2 families where only half got it. Even tho no attempt was made to quarantine. So. No. I don’t think it will get everyone.
