I purchased a .04ct natural blue diamond and want to wear it in a ring. Anyone have any ideas that are a bit “more” than this? I don’t have a creative bone in my body but I know a lot of you do! I’d love to hear/see your ideas!

My initial thought was either a wider band with the stone set in it. Or a thin band with tiny white stones around the top left corner to make it look like stars over the stone. You could also do a twisted band (like two wires twisted around one another, but done smartly not sloppy). Or have the stone set dropped below the band. Just a few thoughts.

I personally think it looks great! Keep it simple and let the diamond be the star! I would not change it,otherwise the blue diamond may get lost in a busy setting.

:))Such a pretty blue color Wewechew!! I like keeping it simple as well. The twist band also sounds sweet. It will make a great stacker.

I totally think something can be created to make it much more WOW! It is a GORGEOUS color, but we're all looking at the ring greatly enlarged. It is a tiny ring. I wish I had a more creative idea myself. I hope someone chimes in who does!! I look for some inspiration rings.......

How about something like what MTHealthyLiving did with her yogo sapphire a few months back?

0eb29a428d9e39fa6b1ec2cb8cffe10a--vintage-gold-engagement-ring-vintage-diamond-band.jpg if you like dainty this could work. Otherwise a wider brushed metal band with even smaller 1mm-2mm white diamonds scattered to make a constellation would be cool. Whatever you decide, having a blue diamond in it will make it awesome!

I think it depends a bit on the look you want.

To make it look a bit bigger, you could add a halo of tiny blue diamond melee. Then, add a more decorative outer halo in white diamonds. Something like @artdecolover71.

Or something like this.

You could make a hexagon halo with diamonds to give it more presence.

You could also contrast with peach or pink gemstones to make something more arty or modern. Maybe a rosecut in peach or pink like this with your blue diamond off to the side?

Or use a white diamond fancy shape and make the setting half yellow and half blue. Using small melee that are a different shade to contrast without competing. I'm thinking pale peachy yellow for the small stones and a champagne rose cut.

Or a unique take on a 5-stone. I'm thinking pink and peachy sapphires.

Or just go with something totally about the blue diamond

Or something more fun like a sunburst (imagine as a single ring)

Again, imagine a single ring, but you can stack your blue with a bicolor sapphire.

I think something like this could work quite well. You could do all sorts of different things with the filigree design. I just choose this example as it was a smaller round blue stone. It gives more finger presence but by having the delicate metalwork next to the stone makes it star of the show in the way I don't think a double halo would.

I'm always a fan of making smaller stoned rings like that into pinky rings. The pinky never gets any love.

I love this idea! It would show off the blue but add size and be unique. That plaque design would look amazing as a bracelet or pendant too.

I also love the filigree ring meely posted. It too manages to add size, but the metal work between the centre stone and the outer halo really keeps the focus on the centre stone.

I am kind of loving these two! But I think it would bug me that it wasn't symmetrical lol.

I can't do pinky rings- my pinky is shaped like a cone and rings never stay on! lol

:love:I saw this on DK's instagram and thought of you! I am sure that it could be made into a ring and different "halo" stones if you prefer.
I am loving this!

My yogo sapphire was in another ring my husband gave me, but I broke it. So I had it reset into this double halo.

Thank you for everyone’s ideas! I’m leaning towards a little halo (so that it looks like a little daisy).

I thought about suggesting this type of setting, but I wasn’t sure if you’d want to add more stones. I love them.

I am usually a solitaire girl all the way, I feel like adding stones around it would enhance the itty bitty stone :kiss2:

The trick with the floral design will be that for a 2.2 mm stone, you only have 6.9 mm circumference to work with. What about something with a double halo to give you more circumfrence to work with?

I hadn’t even thought about that :(2 It’s going to be a RHR so I was trying to make the setting as low maintenance as possible (so it won’t snag or hit on things).

I love the color of your blue diamond! I think that the Daisy Idea would be lovely! Or if you keep the lovely plain bezel, you could also use it as a stacking ring, and add til you get a nice cuff sized stack.
