Idealscope frenzy

I went on a little Idealscope spree tonight.

It''s not like I need much of an excuse to play with my new stone, but this time I thought it would be interesting to see what some of my other stuff looked like under there. I had a mix of real diamonds and some cz costume pieces that got passed down to me.

First, my cushion.

The cushion is an interesting difference from my square H&A cushion, but has just as much fire.

The new cushion is going to be an upgrade from my current ER. You might be able to see why I''d like to upgrade here. Granted, it''s a little dirty, but ouch!

This is the calibration stone that came with my IS/loupe/tweezer kit.

And this is probably something my mom picked up just to flash around. It''s about a 9mm CZ, but doesn''t have a lot of life.

Change the setting on your camera to fluoro light - it will be a little bar type icon

I''m not sure where this pear CZ came from, but compared with some of the examples on the IS website, it doesn''t look too good. Hopefully whoever bought this didn''t pay too much for it (although it''s set in 18k gold).

Well drat, Garry - I was using the Tungsten setting instead! Let me go try out the fluorescent setting.

This is why Garry is the expert and I am not!

From the top, with the fluorescent setting on my camera rather than tungsten. Maybe you can use this as an example of what setting not to use.
