I joined this board about six months ago when I was considering purchasing a 4ct sapphire pendant for my wife on Ebay. Well, you ladies quickly talked me out of what would have been a big mistake. Eventually, and after many educational trips to the LA Jewelry District, we ended up with a 9ct tanzanite pendant by David Klass.

Such is the addictive influence of PS we now have four CS pendants with another on the way. There doesn't seem to be a CS pendant and necklace thread, so I thought I ought to start one.

Fist off that 9.30ct tanzanite pendant by David Klass. That thread is here:

I know rings are the favorite item of jewelry here on PriceScope, but pendants and necklaces can be beautiful too!! It's only right we have a thread to show them off! =)2

Peter, thanks for sharing the pictures of your wife's beautiful pendants! She's lucky to have a spouse who shares her enthusiasm for fine jewelry :-) I especially love the tanzanite and emerald pieces, they're both stunning.

Great thread! I only have one pendant, unfortunately nothing spectacular. I love your wife's pendants that are all so different but just stunning pieces! What other projects have you got in the pipeline?

My 30th bday present from family, and by far the nicest piece of jewelry I own. David Michael made it (brothers who I believe are from AUS). it's a work of art, but I have a hard time wearing it, since I feel guilty about how much was spent on it.

That’s just beautiful!!. The colors are poetic, tender and gentle. What an amazing gift! Pls Try to turn guilt into wearing with love, joy and appreciation that they appreciate you!! Otherwise the spirit of it is diffused!

Aww, thank you @Bluegemz. Ive been working on that! I've worn it less than 5X in the 1.5 years I've had it, which is silly since I love it so much. It's perfect and wonderful, and I need to wear it happily!

It's amazing and your family would want you to wear it often!

Wow wow wow!!!! :appl::appl::appl::appl:

prs - the pendant's are amazing and look beautiful on your wife!! I wish I could trust my husband to pick out my jewelry :)
@lilmosun I can assure you I do not pick out my wife's jewelry, I learned that lesson many years ago!!! She is a very good picker in her own right, aren't I a prime example! :mrgreen2:

@meely I'm sure your pendant is gorgeous, please post photos!!!

@prs, seriously beautiful pieces! Your DW has such a lovely neck to show off these pendants.

@lovedogs, you absolutely must wear that pendant more often. It’s so gorgeous and would bring joy to the ones who gave it to you.

This thread had me musing about the significance of pendants from the perspective of the giver. I think rings are most popular here on PS because wedding rings aside, rings are commonly what we buy for ourselves. And we enjoy them every time we look down. But if my DH wants to give me a gift, he naturally leans towards pendants. I think it’s because he can enjoy seeing me wear them whereas I don’t think he notices my rings much unless I point them out.

@prs
Your DW has quite the incredible collection of pendants, and she wears each one well! It makes me so happy that you share the stories and pictures of these special finds with the PS community. :geek2:

Haha, until my colored gemstone obsession started my DF was the same way. I think that's because he likes looking at my face and my chest the most, and pendants hang somewhere between. :mrgreen2: He will admire my rings with me when I hold my hand up to do so, though (now he knows I like rings the most :Up_to_something2:).

Still picking my jaw from the floor.

Masterpiece in delicacy and balance!

Everyone's pendants are so lovely!
@Rare gem lover I can't believe you don't wear it :(2
@lovedogs That is such a stunning piece of jewelry and so sentimental please wear it and enjoy it!

@lovedogs @Rare gem lover please wear your pendants more. They're beautiful! Especially lovedogs, there is no need to feel guilty, as it's a symbol of your family's love for you.

I'm not a pendant person at the moment, but I never used to be a ring person either until getting my e-ring. Things can change. I think my aversion to pendants is I hate the little clasps on necklaces, may change once I get magnetic clasps for conversion.

Wow @prs, those are some amazing pendants. Lucky wife!!!

Amazing pendant! I absolutely love it!

Here’s mine! It’s a mint garnet in white gold and I barely ever wear it because I realised too late I’m not a pendant person!1E38A60D-E107-489D-AEA2-08B8A9E7AFB3.jpeg

Too bad you aren't a pendant person. It's beautiful!
