It is beautiful! What is the deploaynt buckle for? To make sure it does not come off?

DD...the deployant works like a bracelet on a leather strap.you don't need to bent the tip of the leather strap when you put on or when you take off the watch, all you do is buckle or unbuckle,plus there is less chance of dropping the watch on the floor.

i don't know if it is true or not ,but i heard most of the vintage PP watches are being re-purchased by PP themselves for their museum.

Late to the thread too but MAN it's a beauty. I think you made a good trade even though both are amazing. The RG really flatters on you and is an overall warmer, richer look to my eye.

I also really love that 450K Vintage Platinum Patek mentioned in the article Coati posted. Whooo -- maybe we need a "watch" area around here. I'm smitten.

Tell me DF, how is the Glasshütte watch? Are they having the same reputation as Lange? These two manufactorys are situated in the same village also called Glasshütte and actually both enjoyed the same popularity in Saxon! I have been to the Watch Museum in Dresden and of course, Lange & Sohne has a much longer history than Glasshütte brand! (sorry for being off-topic!)

i think 10-12% off of retail is the best you can do with any Rolex AD.
