Hi There, I think I found a great Si1 with almost all of the imperfections near the outside. I would love someone to take a look at this GIA report and let me know what you think: http://www.gia.edu/cs/Satellite?pagename=GST%2FDispatcher&childpagename=GIA%2FPage%2FReportCheck&c=Page&cid=1355954554547&reportno=6211438816

Price is around $5,000

Any advice helps, thanks!

The numbers don't look great, but they're just the first step when buying sight unseen. Have you seen this diamond?

No, its on Blue Nile. I put the numbers into the pricescope calculator and it seemed to come back with good results.

It gets a 3.7 on the HCA. Stones under 2 are worthy of consideration. The large table in this stone is not generally favored, and the 41.4 pavilion angle is a candidate for color entrapment, meaning the tint will get stuck within the diamond, looking more tinted than it is. The crown angle is not in good proportion to the pavilion. You should keep looking.

3.8 is not good. Look for stones to score 2 or under...then it's still nice to get an idealscope image if possible but BN does not do
those.

Did you ask them if it is eye-clean? I'm not sure if they can tell you or not.

Edit ...you need to be looking at BN "Ideal" cut stones. I think you will have to drop down to an "I" to get a carat in a well cut
stone at BN.

Is $5000 as much as you want to spend? Would you be okay going down a little in carat size, or in color, or up in budget? We can help you find something really nice.
