I hardly check this forum either but I wanted to add that DS is just as sweet in real life as she is on here. And her diamond is amazing! J, I am so glad we talked you into going a little bigger! Hope school is going well. Your students are lucky to have you!

Aww, thank you for your kind words, S! I am glad y''all talked me into my diamond, too! I really was lucky to get it!

I almost called you Friday to meet me for lunch (and maybe a little jewelry shopping!), but I decided I just didn''t have time to go to Charlotte! How many more weeks before baby comes? Maybe we can do it before then!

I''ve got 7 weeks til my due date.

We''ve got to try to get Diana to join us b/c I would LOOOVE to see that beauty up close and personal!

Okay, I''ll try to pin down a date. Probably one of the next two Fridays. I was wanting to go to Tiffany''s to look at wedding bands again and also maybe to Fink''s to look at watches. I can''t get a watch without trying some on first.

Do you have a link to your ring? I would love to see it!!! I love your part of the country

You sound like such a wonderful person.

Have you been out to Savannah? I read that you love seafood; I had Low Country Boil recently and it was wonderful

You lucky lady; I bet you get the freshest seafood; dang I need to live closer to the water. hehe
Hi Skippy! I''ll post a picture of my ring for you. It is in a semi-temp setting. It could be permanent but I still look for the "dream" setting!

It has been a very long time since I have been to Savannah. I had cousins in both Savannah and Charleston, so there were times we visited both during my childhood. We have part ownership in a beach place about 20 minutes from Charleston, so these days we are there more than anywhere else. We love the beach and the seafood! And we usually fix a seafood or Low country boil everytime we go in the summer!

DS, it''s yummy! Are you sure you need a re-set?

Harriet, honestly I probably do not! And that is because I know there will always be something down the road that I like better, and I am simply not going to change settings multiple times at this point in my life! I think I''d be happier if I could get my wedding band with the next size smaller stones, though. I need to check and see if trade-ins are allowed. I just hate to ask!!!

You need two wedding sets b/c I KNOW your secret love for antique looking settings. You can''t fool ME!

That is EXACTLY the problem!!! I really want a Van Craeynest set, but it''s hard to justify the price seeing that I won''t have another 50 years to wear them! Lol!

Thank you for the picture; your ring is gorgeous!!!!

nor me. i still think you should do some estate shopping though and try to find a real estate piece to get as your second set...

That would be a lot of fun! I think the dilemma is that I don''t know where to begin to look for that kind of thing. And I really think you have to see antique rings to know if you''d want them.

Perry''s at SouthPark is suppose to have a lot of antique jewelry. You could have them keep an eye out for something specific.

Hi, Sik! I have to laugh everytime I see that name! I am sorry I was out of town this weekend and did not have a chance to reply until tonight. Yes, we do entertain ourselves on here! I answered you on another thread of yours, but I live further west than Winston. I''m an almost an hour NW of Charlotte. Yes, we do have the same beliefs, although that is a topic not really allowed on this forum. I think it is great that you have a youth ministry degree and hope you will be able to use that soon! Where did you go to school? (I have kids college age.)

Hi DS, I''m not sure if you missed the pictures I posted for you:

Rough cross and other things...

(Sorry I got carried away. The trip was really fun!)
