Heather, I do know that a fair number of diamonds are pre-owned but sometimes ignorance can be pure bliss, lol! This will be my first diamond ,and a girl can dream can''t she? Ha ha. But thats okay, you were just keeping her company until I found her.

Dreamer, good golly miss molly! I freaking love your ring. Like seriously. I love the warmer tone of the K. While I can appreciate the beauty of diamonds higher up the color grade chain, sometimes I feel like they lack a little character. I love all of the many different faces of your ring. And, we share the same ring size. A 6.5 goes on easily and a 6 takes effort to get on and off. Thanks so much for sharing your thread. I will probably be visiting daily until my ring is finally at home on my finger.

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to post an update. The ring has been ordered! Not less than 24 hours later, I changed my mind on the setting. (Please note that I could be nominated for the most indecisive person award.) I originally selected the Petite Open Cathedral (POC) because I love how delicate the 1.5mm band was. After the purchase was complete, I was using my free time to admire all of the beautiful rings in the SMTR threads until I got my own on my finger. I came across several Pricescopers with the POC setting. While I love the way it shows from the top down, I realized that I don''t like the way it appears from the side and at angles. So I decided to change it. Instead, I am getting the shared prong melee. Here are the reasons why: (1) the sidestones are larger, (2) the sidestones are ACA, (3) it isn''t a cathedral, and (4) it has a legato which is the head that I wanted but the POC wasn''t able to accommodate. My only concern is that it will not be as delicate as I had wished. It is 2.4mm wide, almost twice as wide as my original selection. Ideally, I was always shooting for 1.8-2.2mm. I am optimistic. I have very long and slender fingers which is why I wanted something delicate. However, I wear a size 6.25 so I''m hoping that I can pull it off.

BTW, this morning on the phone, my Mom predicted that I would change something else today. I told her that is a bet that I would take because my mind is made up!
