Hello all,

I am ready to purchase my diamond for my e-ring but I keep flip-flopping between these two. Anyone have any thoughts?

- Bigger, more affordable - comes in at budget. Triple x but HCA was 2.2 very good.

- Is smaller, but diamond database says face-up is only 1% smaller. Triple x - HCA 1.2, but about 1400 more than the other ring. May be a little bit whiter than the one above. But they are very very close.

Thoughts? GIA certs are attached to these sites. Thanks for your help.

Is there a way to make the GIA reports large enough to actually see?

But I'd choose the J VS2 hands down. Better cut and clarity.

See below, hopefully this is better.

I'd go with the 2.36, J, VS2 as well. There were several feathers in the SI1. You would need to ask if any of those are visible/eye-clean. The 2.36 appears to be the better bet (more eye-clean, better performance on the HCA).

Hi all,

I saw both of the stones, they are both eye clean. I can post pictures of the stones when I get home from work although it is hard to tell.

I dont want to base the selection on clarity since they were both eye clean. Was originally going to go with the larger, less expensive one but the smaller one is a big "brighter". I prefer to go with larger, however is the size difference neglible between these two stones? Thanks for weighing in.

I was told that each .1 mm difference is about the width of a sheet of paper. So, theoretically, the difference in spread between the 2 diamonds is less than 2 sheets of paper. The bigger the diamond, the less noticeable the spread is (in your case, under .2 mm). If you were looking at much smaller carat weight, the .2mm might make a difference. Just my 2 cents.

The J, SI1, 2.49 link video from Enchanted Diamonds shows it as unavailable. So, ESNP, unless you bought that one, that choice is no longer an option...

I had it pulled for me this weekend and told them I would decide between the two by tonight. Thats probably why its not available..I hope :-)

The ED stone appears to be the same one he is looking at at BE. These are all virtual stones that these places have listed. ED is showing it as not available because BE probably has it in for viewing. That said, after seeing it, it is not a stone I would consider due to the clarity issues.

I also do not like the measurements on the smaller stone as it is deeper than 62.3 which is the deepest I will go. Less than 62 is even better as it can make the spread better.

So, there are a lot of diamonds out there and I think you can do better than these.
