I have a budget now what?

I really like this H. http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/diamonds/diamond-details/2.008-h-si1-round-diamond-ags-104061006030 In a 2 carat size color is a bit more noticeable than it is in a smaller stone. For one reason, because there is more to see from the profile, even when set. I could say okay to an I color. But a J... not unless most her jewelry is mall jewelry from macy's.

I think in terms of balance the H is the best stone. No real risks. Which is usually what we try to encourage when you are buying for someone else. I think it's the most "mindclean". If you get a J you might have a bit of anxiety about it, even after she gets it.

yea this would be safer...but i like the price point of the J, ha..about a 4k difference,,,,is it worth the color?

the J also has a large table making it look like a 2.5

but you may be right about the "mind clean"

hmmm

the other problem is im in state,,,so tax, unless i figure something else out

and gypsy,,,,you are awesome

Well, first, thank you. It's my pleasure.

Sleep on it for now. The answer will come. And, if you chose it and for some reason the J doesn't work out, you CAN get it swapped out for a higher color stone. They allow upgrades. That's also a thought. BUT it won't be the stone you proposed with. Still, it's an option.

For me... 4 k. Not sure if it would be worth it. 4k means some awesome studs. Or a NICE bracelet. And I like J's. But I know other people who would strongly prefer higher color, and that's okay too. It's a personal thing.
