I LOVE the strand I was sent, but, uh, does it look like the pictures??? I honestly can not find a single pearl on the strand I was sent that looks like the one pictures...

The picture above has a pearl that looks similar but there is to "tip" to it like there is in the original photo
 
Although they are absolutely GORGEOUS, I too am having a hard time telling if it is the same strand??? I do see maybe a few pearls that look similar, but all in all, they don't seem to be as drop shaped and circled as the original picture??? The real question is, do you love them enough to keep them? OTOH, what if you were accidentlly sent someones elses strand of pearls???

the strand you received is definately not the same strand you ordered. The shape, surface characteristics, and even size is different.

Just as Cushion said, do you prefer these?

A cleaner, rounder, larger pearl is usually more valuable (depending on luster). Your order may have been mixed up with someone else.

They most certainly do!! Did they come with the little tag saying what the mm range was?? hmmm???
 
hard to tell Swedish Bean from the photos, but the last photo looks amazing. From the first photo I''d say not the same strand, but more photos show the ridges, the color is different but that could be cameras and light - ultimately - they are beautiful, but what do you think?

I hate to say it, but I think there may be a little mix up here. I know that Elana sent me an email stating that my strand was going to go out either on a Mon. or a Tues.....and then I had to contact her stating that according to the USPS tracking, they were still not shipped. I finally heard back from Elana after they had finally been shipped out of FL???.....so she had to explain the delay and why they where shipped so late and from FL. She was so sweet, she refunded my shipping. She also stated she was extremely busy trying to keep up with orders/website. Since you had ordered so many items and the items had all been ordered on separate dates...........I am wondering if she has all of your items in one pile going to be sent to you all at once............. and somehow these pearls that you received where not suppose to be sent to you but possibly LGK??? I hope it all gets sorted out............. I bet you don't want to give up these pearls though. They really are gorgeous!!

After looking on FF website and LGK''s thread, they are definately not LGK''s strand but I am quite certain they are the strand that you posted. The pearls are smaller mm wise and everything about them looks exactly like the strand you received.
 
Oh my goodness Swedish, I am sorry to say...they are definitely not the ones you ordered. CCN is right. They look like LGK''s. I wonder when she is set to recieve hers. Did you contact FF at all? Do you like the ones you got? I like them very much actually. But if you prefer the other shape then you should definitely call FF. Was there a huge price diff between yours and LGK''s? Sorry lady.

I did contact Elana, and she confirmed that they were switched!

This strand is LOVELY, but I think if it's the strand i think it is, might be a few hundred more than my original strand.. I don't know if FI will go for that lol :) It seriously is sooo sooo pretty though.

It's pretty though, isn't it? It looks stellar with my new studs too! Though, I wore my studs to dinner tonight and my friend said, "Ohh... those are... big...."

ETA: I want to say that if LGK is reading, she did tell me that these were not anyones. So, I'm positive your strand is out there, waiting to be on your neck!

No tag. At first, I thought it was them because of the rose gold clasp, but once I started to look for my favorite pearls and they weren''t there.. I was

lol I then got a bit cranky with some friends, and the whole issue.. ate a piece of chocolate cake and went out to dinner. I had a grilled cheese sandwich, naughty, I know.. and a oreo malt. I could NOT finish anything lol... The sugar has set me straight though and I''m not longer cranky. Just tired. LOL ... its never good to eat your emotions! But anyway... I am thinking about getting the strand, but I really want the emerald one too.. lol... I dunno what I''m gonna do yet.

LOL! Well that sounds like something I would do. Glad you got a hold of Elana. Maybe Elana will work out a special deal since there was a bit of a mix up although I thought for sure the strand you received was marked sold on the site if that is indeed the strand??? Well, maybe it was meant to be since they go so perfect with your earrings!!!! I am sure you are going to sleep on it for a few days........LOL!
 
Yikes? Is she going to make you pay the difference for the switch? I like them both!
 
I do know some of the items are sent from FL because she sends some of the strands there to be strung and I think the lady also had several other strands she was doing for her as well, so that''s where the mix-up came from.

I ALMOST wore the strand out to dinner tonight but decided not to, just in case it WAS LGK''s strand and then I dropped it in a bowl of soup or down a sewer drain.. I''d feel terrible! So I have the strand in the box right now.. all safe and sound. lol
 
If you really want the strand that Elena sent you then I think she''d work out a GREAT deal for you considering the delayed shipment, the wrong shipment, etc. She has great product but this was FF''s fault and hopefully she will work out something for you so that you can pay little to no cost and keep this strand if that is what you want. They are really beautiful!! I am glad to hear it is not LGK''s strand though. It''ll all work out.
 
I did ask how much it would be to keep this strand (in addition to what I''ve already paid)-- considering it if it''s low enough and then buying my original strand again

It''s hard to tell, but I think she offered to let me keep it for the price that I bought my original strand. I''m not sure though, so I wanted to clarify that. However, FI had a good point, that if I want to continue to do business with FF that I should either give the piece back or pay the difference... what do you guys think? The strand I bought (before discount) was $398, and assuming this strand is in the sister strand family of the other one I posted above, that one is $625. It''s a $227 difference. I am just feeling conflicted.

Good news, is that strand no. 2 should be here Saturday, and also the loose pearls I ordered.
 
I got an email back from her and she said I could keep them at no extra charge! What a sweetie!
I still want the original strand though, would it be weird or offensive to offer to buy that one again too? But keep the strand I have now? Feel like it''s getting your cake and eating it too.

FI is going to laugh so hard about this... .. I went from owning no Tahitians... To multiples in 2 weeks. :P

what would you guys do???

Awesome you got to keep it!! HAHA @ buying both. You could always buy it, then have it shipped to your moms (or other close relatives house) so she woulnt know its you LOL!!!

I agree, why not have her send the original strand to you "on memo" and that way you can choose between both of them with the possibility of loving both of them so much, you may have to buy both of them!!!

I don't know about you all. It's hard for me to resist Tahitian strands. Despite having some already, unless they are so similar to what I have already owned, I always have the urge to buy more. They have so much character, colors, that they don't look the same, for example, a white strand. LOL.
