I really, really want to see the current setting. Is there a link to it anywhere on here?

Here's a link to it... windowshopper's leon thread

ETA: woops mrssalvo beat me to it.

Thanks mrss and FG! I do remember it now!

Windowshopper, while I like the settings you posted, I do not think either one is as outstanding as the one your stone is currently set in. Maybe you could just get another new ring!

WS - it''s lovely! The Leon is beautiful too (of course!), but with his ring it''s all about the RING and not so much the stone. Whereas with the split-shank baguette setting, the focus will be on the stone yet there is still some pretty dainty detail about the band. And, I love the double-claw prongs!

you know..........thats the problem i have always had with it. i wanted a solitaire first and foremost and i got an impressive ring but too much ring.......

The Leon setting is stunning but I can see exactly what you mean about it being more about the ring than the EC center stone. The side traps and everything truly are a work of art, but they do compete with the center stone and if you want to highlight the EC, I think your split shank with baggs would do quite nicely.

i look at your ring and I get so frustrated................thats what i wanted a fairly delicate but intricate band holding the stone. the original sketch of my ring had the traps being about a third of the size that they are and being part of the band/shank as it meets the side of the basket NOT actual side stones
