I don''t wanna be a worry-wart ... but you say it''s sitting on his dresser. Is it INSURED yet? If not you should add it to the renter''s insurence or homeowner''s insurence or get a sep. policy ASAP!

Also .. is the jeweler you bought it from setting the stone? Are they taking responsibility if something happens to the stone DURING setting.

I know this stuff isn''t as fun & exciting to think about - but important!

Gosh, we think alike, Deco! Courtney, get that ring back to the jeweler asap!!! Don''t keep it at your home without it being insured! I''m sure, like you said, that the jeweler will accept responsibility for setting it since they sold it and the ring isn''t complete yet, but it needs to stay at their store to be insured right now.

Here is the top of the setting. Sorry it was kind of dark. It really showcases the center stone and looks perfect on my skinny finger! I originally wanted a Tacori..but a center stone with side stones or an eternity band just didn't look right. I found this and thought, "this is it!"

The wedding band will be exactly the same, sides too. So when all is said and done I will have 3.0 carats on my finger!!!

I just snuck another peak at my diamond. I can't believe its mine.

ps- Windycity girl..I heard about your snowstorm! Hang in there! That is EXACTLY why I moved to Las Vegas!

i think you have to get that baby back to the jeweler ASAP. i know it''s nice having it at home so you can stare at it whenever you want, but what if?

kudos to you for finding such a gem!

i can''t believe you were able to bring the setting and stone back home to give to you bf to bring it back to get it mounted. i would''ve been so anxious to have it set that i would''ve told the jeweler to set it and to call him when it''s done so he can pick it up. anything to cut the waiting time shorter, ya noe?

The specs are on the first page. It is a little deep, but the L and W measurements are about right for that size and the crown is what I read that is good. I had to sneak a peak last night again!!! I STILL cannot believe it is an H! And STILL don''t ever see the inclusion! The wait is killing me...

Courtney, I can soooo empathize. I custom ordered my ring the first week in October and I know its been in the house all complete since last wednesday. Like you I picked my stone and setting and haven''t seen it all together. I would like to think I can keep from snooping till the actual proposal but it is HARD! My baby is in the hospital right now though so we will cut him some slack! Yay for finding your dream setting AND diamond. Our tastes are very similar so I have to say yours is FAB!
