I''m looking to get a channel set diamond band with a total weight of 0.15ct and contains 10 stones. Would I-clarity on such small stones make any difference?

The band is 14kt white gold and costs $249. Going for SI-clarity would add another $150-$200. I just want to know if it''s worth it to go for SI-clarity on such small stones. The I-clarity band looked fine to me, although I will go back and take a closer look.

Just want to get some of your opinions!

Thanks!

It really all depends on the inclusions. I have seen I clarity bands that sparkle like crazy with no visible inclusions, then I have seen others that look like frozen spit with carbon spots. If you have seen this in person, what are your eyes telling you?

The one at the jeweller looked fine, but the thing is, I will need mine custom made because my finger size is really small. They said they could re-size the one they currently have, but it might turn into an ovalish shape since my finger size is so small. They said better to have one made in my size, which means that I won''t get to see the stones until the whole ring is made. So I''m just not sure what to do at this point.

My band is .25 ct, there is 11 stones and they are I clarity, they sparkle like crazy, you cant see the inclusions cuz the diamonds are very small, the cost of mine was $300 and it was custom made cuz I have hugh fingers

I''m not an expert by any means... but is $150-200 going to break the bank? I think that''s the most important question when dealing with diamonds you can''t see before hand. If it were me, and I could afford to, I know that I would probably feel better about everything if I could move out of the I''s so I didn''t have to worry as much about the "frozen spit" phenomenon... but that''s just my 2 cents!!

If you can afford it I would go for the better quality. Even on small stones the inclusions will show - to me it makes the stones look gray.
