that was my thought too. I love emeralds but personally like simpler settings (usually without halos) so my immediate thought was combine the two!

Oh, gosh, they are both beyond beautiful. A year ago, I would've automatically voted for the EC because I do love the elegance of clean lines. But lately my tastes have been changing. I wasn't a fan of radiants before but I've been gravitating a bit towards the crushed ice look. There's something about the seeming 'randomness' of radiant facets that is so cool! So, I vote for #2.
