luckily before 3 ct stones started to skyrocket.

Jonathan call the stone eye clean, i know the gia map looks bad but i couldn't see any inclusions without a loupe all i see is a lot of sparkles.it's beautiful i send it to dave atlas,(Chris) who did the appraisal said it's a high end H color, more closer to a G and a nice EYE CLEAN SI1 and it's one of the best preforming stone he has seen. on a scale of 1-10, he gave it a 9 since he never calls any stone a 10.The stone is mounted on a 14k wg 4mm wide band, size 4.75, 4 prong setting.(i know,i know..cheap setting) i hate to drop 5k on a setting and she changes her mind in couple of months, there goes 5k down the toilet,we all know how women are changes their mind every minute.

YOWZA! That''s one beautiful (and giant) diamond. Since her finger size is so small, it''s going to look gigantic!

wow. that''s a real beauty df!! yes it is.

if there were a drippy drippy pooly drooly icon on here (hint hint leonid) this would be the place to use it!

Oh myyy that is pretty!! I bet it looks huge on her hand

Right! I mean, what is the point in having kids if they don''t fetch things for you and teach you how to do stuff on the computer?

looks great...the setting makes it look huge (not like it is or anything!!)....

are you re-posting this because you are looking for a new setting? for a second, i thought it was because you were planning on selling it!
31.gif

DF, this stone is a real winner! You did REALLY well here! And the setting shows it off nicely, IMO, especially for such a petitie finger size--you don''t want/can''t have too much additional bling!

And I agree-hand shots are a must or we will vote you off the island!

7/1 ...yeah come on over and give her a good spanking.

Mara....this is the first time that i posted pictures on this ring.

Jenn...she only wore the ring a few times, she's afraid if 1 prong breaks the stone might fall out.to be honest i prefer the 6 prong setting but since her 1.15 ct is set in a 6 prong so i went with the 4 prong for this stone.

I must be on crack...I thought that you had posted about this ring before but maybe it was just the stone? Or maybe you never posted but talked about it? I can't keep all this 3c+ stuff straight...when all you see is sparkle!!

Dancing Fire!

What a beautiful stone!
30.gif
Did you surprise your wife with it? or did she help pick it out? It looks amazing!

Lori
actually,i bought the stone for myself but 9.7 mm is too big for my taste so it ended up in a ladies ring.

I have to pull out my ice skates for that one!
Absolutely stunning!!!

Speaking of safe prongs... how about eight ? The more they are, the smaller they get !

The stone below is no larger than yours.

It is a vintage ring. The band should be less wide than that... the stone is slightly less than 3 carats.

thanks guys for all the nice compliments.

I really like the 8 prong esp. with such a large stone!

last pictures, i promsie.

DF, that is one Honker of a stone

Just blinding.

I really like the setting, plain, sophisticated, "just the facts mam" kind of setting. As my interior designer used to say,
"It really makes a statement".

Congrats.

I agree actually that the setting is a very simple but classic piece, I like the wide band and it seems to showcase the stone and it''s size quite well. Definitely not a bad selection at all and I like the head and how it cradles the stone.
