I've been on a (failed) mission for YEARS to grow it past my boobs. I cannot seem to get it that long, it just gets so mangled in the ends (it's fine and fried...) that I need it cut before it ever gets much longer than current. I keep thinking if I cut it off a lot it might be less mangled, but then I just grow it right back out.rubybeth|1392127652|3612700 said:I think it looks great at the current length, but if you're itching for a change, I like both of the example cuts. It wouldn't be such a dramatic change that you'd immediately regret it, plus it would grow back.

My hair is shorter than my husband's. It was so gratifying to do, and I can now check "get pixie cut!" off my bucket list.
I'm always in favor of changing hairstyles. It grows back.
Oh I don't have any curls. It's like...straight with the most annoying "crimp" in it. NO wave. NO curl. If it's curled or in any way attractive, that's the result of hot rollers. lolHospatogi|1392137243|3612798 said:I think you would look beautiful taking a little length off to show off your curls and create a bit of volume and movement. What about doing longer angles layers something like kate middleton or Carrie underwood?

I like this idea!
If you take 3-4 inches today, you can always go back for more to be taken off.
You might also chat with your stylist. Some will cut a length off and then let you adjust to have more taken before they do the final layering/shaping.
Thanks! This girl "knows me", so I have a feeling even if I march in with resolve and ideas, she's gonna err on the side of length. I did trim it well last time, and I was a little panicked but it ended up not looking like I lost very much. DH couldn't even tell.Laila619|1392146870|3612955 said:You look gorgeous! I am painstakingly growing out my hair myself so I may be a bit biased, but I vote for just a trim. Every time I chop my hair off, I always end up regretting it. I think long hair really suits you!

It gets SO tangled probably because it's so fine and there's so much of it and I like...chemically fry it. I feel brave til I sit down then I am like "trim."

I didn't even realize how unmanageable it was, until I took off a bunch of length. It's now where yours is, and hasn't been this healthy in years. I was thinking about going a bit shorter, too, to help add a little more volume. Not that I need more volume, but it just gets weighted down at the top because it's so heavy.
I think that your hair is lovely, and you should go for a trim, but maybe some more layers to spice it up.

I have this "need" to have it longer than my boobs. It just never seems to get there before it's beyond unmanageable.

My hair is fine-not as cobwebby fine as it was before having kids, but still. I have more of it now than I did before the kids, but now it has some strange wave to it that looks utterly ridiculous when it's short or long, it's just easier to do something w/if it's short, not as tangly, and it doesn't look as stringy and isn't as flat. My hair separates and looks like it hasn't been combed w/in a couple hours of doing it.
