I’m back! Finally purchased!

Hello!
Some of you may remember me from a couple of months ago when I was posting about cushion cuts, and then when I thought we were purchasing a ring, and then when we got denied from the financing company because of boyfriends current student loan debt.

Well, everything has changed, we went a different way for the money, I kept my cushion cut style, just went down a little in carat size so it would be less harsh on the pocket!

Happy to say that the purchase for my ring went through yesterday, and I am STOKED!

Originally I was going with a 0.92 cushion cut (h in color) but now I have a 0.71 and let me tell ya, it’s a beauty.

D in color, VS2, and while it has a medium blue fluorescence, the videos were gorgeous and I can’t wait until he pops the question so I can put it on my finger!

Thanks y’all! I’m so excited I can’t stand myself lol

I do know the expected ship date is anywhere between May 8-10, and I spoke with a representative that said it ships in one day through fed ex - so that’s exciting!

However, although I’m allowed to know the ship date, I don’t know when he’s going to ask (which of course I don’t want to know that part, because... SURPRISE!)

Anyway, super excited and will definitely keep everyone posted!

This view of the setting is what made me fully go with this setting and not something else. I love it! My ring size is a 4, so I like that the band is still what I’d consider to be dainty. I can’t wait!

FedEx just delivered the ring! Now I’m trying to act like it isn’t here because I can’t look at it yet - and it’s super tempting! I’m not exactly sure when he’ll pop the question, but I’m sure it’ll be on a weekend (hopefully this one coming up!)

Can’t wait to post pictures! :mrgreen2:

@sledge haha, now I’m a little less enthused about the nail polish - apparently my left hand knew it’d be the star of the show soon, and one of my nails broke; but of course being a female I’ve thought of ways around it - luckily it wasn’t the ring finger.

I’m sure my boyfriend can’t wait until he asks, so he can quit listening to nail talk, love his heart :lol-2:
 
LOL @ashjade. Never once would I doubt your ability to overcome a broken nail. :lol:

You should be glad your BF doesn't have a sense of humor like me. I may make you sweat a bit before popping the question. :lol-2:
 
@sledge Well, I’m not completely counting that out! He knows I know it’s here, but he might decide to torture me for a bit now :lol: - gosh, I hope not :shock:

He’s still planning to take his parents and brother and myself to a dinner, so he can get their blessing. He received my closest family members blessing already (we somewhat asked a little premature to buying the ring, because my Papaw was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer and unfortunately they caught it too late so it’s spread all over now and we know we don’t have much time left with him - thankfully he got to be a part of that though, he’s more like my dad than my grandpa, so it was a special moment for sure)

Definitely not ruling out the torture factor, though. At least for a little bit lol
My Papaw said “what will you say when he asks?” I said “ha ha very funny, guess I’ll say I don’t know? Just kidding!” He said “oh yes, make him sweat!” :lol:
 
This is soooo exciting!!!! Savor every moment of this very special experience! Take it all in...and then send us all the photos you can cram into your phone because we can't wait to see them!!! :)

Well @ashjade if he is anything like me, even though I may be a prankster I also go big in most aspects of life and would more than make it up by a grand proposal. I am not sure what you expect or want, but I sure hope your dreams come true.

You sound like a sweet girl, and you already have a meaningful story with asking permissions. I am certain the rest will be just as awesome. By the way I can relate to the grandparents thing. Mine raised me, so grandma & grandpa was actually mom & dad. It really kicked my tail when my grandpa passed, so please cherish every moment you get while you still can.

Again, beautiful choices on the bling. And I wish you two both nothing but blessings in your journey together!
