Hey y’all!!

After 15 years of awesome marriage, I am upgrading my diamond! Going from a H-VS1- .77 princess cut to a D-VS1 1.01 carat oval cut. I searched for the perfect stone in the price range I wanted for a few months that would fit with my current setting bc 15 years later, I still love it.

I just received my loose stone in the mail today and dropped it off at my jeweler. It’s so lovely and bright! I decided to keep my princess cut and have it mounted in a halo pendant. The jeweler will be putting a small sapphire on the back of the pendant to honor my husband who is a sergeant in the local police department. I don’t wear a lot of clothing or jewelry stating that I am an officer’s wife for my safety so the pendant will be my quiet way of support.

Now I get to wait a few weeks to get everything back which will be torture.

I’m glad to have found this community.

I love that you’re adding a blue sapphire to support your husband.
I never envied anyone in law enforcement; the bad & the ugly of mankind are not always easy to bear. Very little good is shared related to this profession, and that is disappointing.
To be the wife of someone willing to risk his life everyday, for his fellow humans, ESPECIALLY during such hostile times as these, well....you’re one special lady.

We planned ahead of time and they said that if the stone was less than 6mm wide that it would look good. I didn’t want my little side diamonds to be covered up so I when I was searching, I was looking at measurements more than carat weight. This stone is 8.16 x 5.86.
