A well-cut I or J can hold its own in platinum, IMO. Go for it.

I think you ca safely go for a platinum setting with an I color stone. It should look beautiful.

I purchased a superbcert stone that is a J, and set it in platinum. It looks GREAT. As long as you are dealing with an ideal cut I or J, there isn''t much to worry about.

Im glad you posted Todd because you were one of the rings that I saw that I absolutely loved and saw it was a J colored diamond and it didn''t look like one at all! Whiteflash is the one that quoted me the diamond that I orginally posted about. I emailed Lesley this question but I will ask you too, you posted that "They gave me the confidence to pick a J SI1, even recommended it over another ACA I VS2" I was wondering if that was true?? They have some nice J colored H&A diamonds on their website in my price range and I am debating on whether to get one of those or the one I posted above.

Thanks!
