How to zap Youtube commercials

The ONLY thing all humans have in common is we all hate commercials.

I didn't research/read this technique.
I just discovered it in real life.

Be in full screen viewing mode before starting your video.
If a commercial starts instead of the video just press the ESC key.
It will leave full-screen, stop the commercial and go right to the video.
Then, if you like, go back to full screen.

This is on a Mac using OS 10.10.2 and on the Safari browser version 8.0.4.
If you have another browser or a PC I have no idea whether this will work, or if PC keyboards even have an ESC key.

It's gotta be a bug that they'll find and fix.

That is a GREAT tip Kenny! Thank you! I do hate those commercials! Recently, when I skip an ad another pops up! I had to take my computer to apple last week because I was attacked by a malware virus from 'flash mail' that popped up so many add and froze up my computer.

I realize you tip doesn't prevent that but I am so irritated with ads and commercials lately any help is greatly appreciated!
