just got my gf''s ering and want to take pics and post but having a hard time getting it to focus. the pics come on very blurry. any advice? i have a canon powershot

Use the macro setting. It''s the little flower icon. Then try to zoom in a little bit. If you zoom in too far you get blurry shots.

Hi albert!

I have a Powershot too. Have the dial on top on auto focus. As SH said, also put it in macro mode. If you don't know how to do that, just ask. Also, turn your flash off. Last, but most important, hold still! Can't stress that enough. It's much easier if you set up pics where you can rest the camera like on a table or counter. But once you've done it several hundred times, you learn how to do it in the air.

You'll find that diffused light will capture some of your best shots. I don't ever use the zoom personally, I find it doesn't work well with my camera. I just pick a spot, and then hold the button halfway down to see if it will focus. If it will, you'll get a box that pops up, encasing the diamond. If not, just keep changing the distance til it works. Then I go in the photo editor and blow it up and crop it.

Good luck, can't wait to see it!

Hi AlbertSuh - are you taking pics of the Harry Winston? Looking forward to see them!

thanks for the directions but i still cant seem to get my camera to work. i have the s410 model if that helps.

I''m hardly an expert on cameras. But make sure you focus the camera on the centre of the diamond first, and then take a pic. If its in focus on something in the background the ring in the foreground will be blurry.
