GREAT CUTTING!

Great cutting releases all of the beauty that the diamond has to offer.

For most people, the top four to five color grades look pretty much identical when viewed from the table up position. (D, E, F, G and for many H)

For most people the top six to seven clarity grades are indistinguishable from one another without magnification when viewed from the table up position. (IF, VVS1, VVS2, VS! and VS2 for nearly all of humanity, and most times SI1 and quite often SI2)

Even the top cutting grade of AGS 0 has distinct flavors that can easily be seen by even the untrained eye so it is CLEARLY the most visible of the C's with the exception of size. The GIA Excellent cut grade is so huge that it encompasses AGS 0 through 4 with many in the AGS 5 and 6 cut grades still fitting into the GIA Ex rating.

If you are going to try to decide what you like best, be sure to study up on the nuances of cut. It is easily the most complex, and the most important, of the factors in choosing the diamond that is perfect for you.
