Thank you DeeJay!!! My husband just said I better by more than one. It will probably be the only Tee Shirt I ever wear out.

Matata, Are you sure you don't need one of these?

I've been looking for a sweatshirt too but at least this one is big enough that I can put a some black long underwear under it when I wear it outside in cooler weather.

Monnie, we could wear our T-shirts, get in my Lexus, drive around the parking lot in a circle, get out and go have a drink!

I'm heading to the airport right now.

Y'all need to fly out to Vegas. We have legal marijuana here now!!
Kath...Oregon too. I modified MObamas quote during the campaign to fit the culture here:
"When they go low; We get high!"

You're in Oregon?? Cool. (WARNING!! Shameless plug commencing!) If you're in Portland, you might want to visit The Pope House Bourbon Lounge. A cousin and her husband own that. I've not been to visit them up there yet (hopefully this year!) so you can go in and toss back a bourbon (although I'm pretty sure they have scotches too) and a nosh, and know I'm with you in spirit. :)

Yes, let's! I'm overdue for a visit anyway. When's the next GTG or gem show? I went to a wedding near that convention center two years ago and relived our little adventure in my mind. Hee hee.

What's all this stuff about "pants" and "pantalones"? I clicked on the link about women in the United States, but didn't see anything about pants there. I have no time to read all the threads because I am in a house in Virginia with a computer from about 1992; no cell phone service half the time; and sporadic house phone service (yes, it's my own house). Please take pity on me and help me me until I am back to civilization and can get at news and Pricescope! ;))

The next gem show in May 5-7 but I am going to be in Vegas with a couple of my work girlfriends (and then I plan to be in Vegas a few weeks later for the big PS GTG -- Vegas twice in a month... yikes!). The gem show schedule doesn't go out that far but there's usually a show in the late summer too (late August/early September). I'll keep my eye on the site and see when they post the shows farther out. You know that you are welcome to stay with me with the caveat that I live in a 2800 square foot one room space with no walls so if sleeping on the sofa won't cripple you and if the CB's snoring won't keep you up, mi casa, su casa!

Haven't been to The Pope House Bourbon Lounge; have been to the Multnomah Whiskey Library. I'm an hour flight away. We're trying to get there for a long weekend in March or April. If you do get to Portland this year and can carve out some time for a visit, we should find a way to get in touch. I'm always happy to spend time up there.

Perfect! I've got two parking spots right outside my front door so you'll have plenty of room to pitch your tent! There is a coyote that tends to hang out in the back of my building by the railroad tracks but I've never seen him in the actual parking area so you should be critter free during your camp.

I thought you were trying to have a serious conversation on how we can better learn to communicate with each other.

You call the responses on here - going high?

I call it as the same childish crap I see here from the same group on every other thread.

Ruby, I'm so sorry that your posts are being ignored. I agree with you and don't understand it either, which is why I tend to stay away from the political threads. It's possible that this group of members (which seems to dominate all of the political threads) all have you on their "ignore" feature so that they can continue their discussion without seeing your posts. Honestly, I don't waste my time anymore trying to "communicate" with them, as I find it counter-productive and hypocritical. I know you have strong political views, but perhaps this is not the right forum for you to be expressing them as the climate here is very liberal and not welcoming to conservatives. Not saying you shouldn't continue to do so if that's your wish, just offering up some advice from someone who's learned the hard way that the type of communication that you desire is probably not going to happen here on PS. It's sad, but true. HUGS!

Thank you. And hugs to you as well. I genuinely wanted to try to find a way to communicate more effectively.

As far as having me on ignore, they are actually doing it for my benefit.

Watching them is like going past a train wreck. You have to just stop and look.

And it is such a shame that long time posters such as yourself no longer post here because of the gridlock of a few.

You can put them on ignore as well. IMO, it makes my PS experience much more pleasurable when I don't have to see certain posts. I can concentrate on the things I like to read about. I'm sad that Hangout has become "Trump Haters Unite" central. I really do miss the way it used to be. And yes, I know I can post things about stuff I want to talk about but it's also nice to have others post those same types of topics as well.

I can understand their dislike for Trump.

It is their infatuation with the P and V words that I find disturbing.

The CB has come home and tried on his new attire!

(We tried to take a selfie together but our arms aren't long enough to get both of us in one photo together and the ones in the mirror come our backwards, LOL.)

BTW, he's very much looking forward to going to Vegas again this year. We were just talking about it and he said, "The crazy diamond people are a lot of fun!" I think he also has a strange affinity for playing pool with Garry!

I think I"m out of the loop, but what does "CB" stand for? I'm familiar with DH,DD, DW, DS, etc. Just want to make sure I have the terms straight :)

Also, whoever CB is looks awesome in his shirt (and is dapper in those glasses!)

LOL -- CB is Chicago Boyfriend. I spent several months in Kansas City and during that time he became known as the Chicago Boyfriend (thanks to the beautiful Madelise I believe!), shortened to CB.

Love it!!

My DH is a US vet, former Marine - and he is very liberal. I find that SO sexy. Frankly, I could not be married to someone who wasn't ideologically similar to me; it's just too important to me, personally. I appreciate the men that are our allies!

I soooo love that song... when my 1st husband dumped me for a 19 year old girl this song was my mantra!

:)

You know Matata one of the things we never cover is sense of humor.. you have good one! you are funny, witty and on point.. as is Kenny.. if having a political discussion with republican/conservatives - they seem to have less of a sense of humor, now I don't mean that in a mean way, I mean it in a serious way.. joking isn't as often with red state people.

Kenny was just being funny. I like humor because it can break ice and can make people more at ease, but republicans seem less inclined to see humor. Just a thought.

I feel the same, K!

And DeeJay, I love the "Chicago BF" name. Love nicknames that stick. My friends and I originally called my husband "the warlock" when we first met, because he plays Dungeons and Dragons with his friends (he's dorky that way). The name has stuck, and they still call him that

I am conservative. I am also a woman. I find the P word offensive and have said so many times. So I do not feel that disrespecting others

I am conservative. I am also a woman. I find the P word offensive and have said so many times. So I do not feel that disrespecting others is "showing a sense of humor." So maybe we conservatives just have better manners. Or more consideration for others, something your liberals are supposedly fighting for.

I am sure this post will be buried soon. But I do find the lack of response in my other thread (exception DeeJay) telling about the true character of the women posting here.

Oh, and the tread where I questioned mothers bringing children to the March.

Well what do you hink about this woman, possible mother, and teacher of our children? Amazing? I do not think so.

The ones for men are not as prevalent as the ones for women, but of the limited options he chose this one for himself!

If I had an etsy store I'd be making "Pussy Proud" and "Proud of My Pussy" men's shirts.
