I know both venues are gorgeous - you will love how the pics turn out! You guys picked a great area to live and not too far from NYC so, that I''m sure made your FI more willing to make the move. My sister and her husband used to live in the city and have since moved out to Riverdale (20 min. outside Manhattan), but they''ve been wrestling with the idea of moving to Boston. So, we''ll see if that eventually happens. I personally love it up there so, I''m all for it!

Here''s Jim Covington''s website: www.weddings-nondenom.com - again, he did a phenominal job with our non-religious ceremony. It was like he was telling a story and had known us for years. It was truly amazing to hear him speak. Good luck with whoever you decide to go with!
Thanks! Sent info to FI to set up an appointment also...

Sure! His name is John Graf, and his website is http://www.theministerman.com/. I hope its ok to post his info on here.....He owns his own business... he is an interfaith minister/officiant. He really understood that we wanted a spiritual, yet non-religious ceremony, and he did a wonderful job with it. Just email him and he will answer quickly....wonderful guy. I hope he is available for your date...

What place are you guys getting married at in NJ? Just curious....

Found one today! So Dani... we had an appointment scheduled with John Graf today at 4... We had a 2 PM appointment scheduled with a guy named Mitch.

The way we found Mitch was kinda funny... We had a minister booked a few weeks ago, and a few days after we booked him, he cancelled on us. Some sort of family thing... Anyhow, the guy who cancelled on us recommended this guy Mitch, who worked with him before...

So, back to today... John calls us at noon... Apparently a couple he''d met with before, accepted him for their wedding--on the same night as ours. He was really apologetic, but he was taken for that date...

Anyhow, he said he called his friend, Mitch, who was also did weddings to recommend him to us... When he called him, he discovered that Mitch was meeting with us today already! What a crazy coincidence... 2 random people who were booked recommended the same guy! So we met with this Mitch guy for 2 hours today and thought he was fantastic... He''s a Jewish minister--which means he sounds just about as confused as we are! ;) Anyhow, he was nice, constantly made us laugh, and put my FI at ease.

So it looks like we have our guy! We reserved him, and made him promise not to cancel on us or we''d hunt me down. haha!

Thanks everyone for your help.

That''s great that it all worked out! Mitch must be a great guy to work with if he came highly recommended from two other people you spoke with.
