How to clean a really gunky diamond?

Hi, while I remove my ring everyday, I wear my studs, pendant and tennis bracelet 24/7 as I don't want to deal with loose backs and loose spring clasps. As such, you can imagine the gunk trapped there. I don't use the Jewel Jet as I've yet to buy a wattage converter (it costs as much as the Jewel Jet, nightmare, wouldn't have gotten the Jewel Jet had I known earlier). The hot water with detergent method doesn't work. Soft brush can only remove gunk that I can reach. How do you remove hard-to-reach gunk from dirty diamonds? Thank you.

I use detergent, baby toothbrush & then an ultrasonic cleaner, but my eternity ring is particularly difficult to clean as dirt gets trapped in the underside of the cage, so I pop it to my jewelers, who steam cleans it like new for free every couple of months.

toothbrush + detergent+ elbow grease.
Rinse with clean water when your done.

I like Mr. Clean, I like windex, I like Palmolive. Basically anything that breaks the grease bond is what you're looking for.

What she said!

OP try leaving it in hot water for a few hours before you start brushing, let the gunk loosen up a bit.

so I use the microwave, but not with the jewelry.
It's a super-speed way to do it.

In a small bowl or dish, that only holds about 1/2 cup of water, I microwave on high for one minute.
Meanwhile I completely douse my ring in dawn or palmolive both sides
I use a baby toothbrush to scrub
Then when the bowl and water come out, I drop in the "spa" for a couple of minutes.
It makes little bubbles everywhere and comes out super-duper shiny
Coffee filter to dry (no lint)

Watch the metal as it does get hot from sitting in the water.

Alex, Enerchi, Yssie, Neil and Anne, thanks for the suggestions and link. Anne, your cleaning process is so thorough. I'm not so diligent. Think I'll soak it longer in water that has just boiled before I scrubbed real hard. Why can't they stay sparkly without cleaning? I love the asscher cut but would never get one due to cleaning hassle.
