I have a large quantity of diamonds that have been through an induction furnace and separated from gold by melting the gold. Most look somewhat white with a hazy frost on the facets. Is there a method other than repolishing that would remove this haze?
If a chemical cleaner won't clean it, then nothing short of re-polishing them will get them clean. Keep in mind, that most pawn shops and gold buying stores have any worthwhile stones removed before any metal is melted down. Otherwise you lose a lot of weight getting those stones re-polished. Hope this helps.
